Victoria Simo vividly remembers staying after hours to twirl like a ballerina at her mother’s dance fitness studio. Even at such a young age, she craved that beauty and grace in her life.
All these years later, after a professional career as a ballerina where she performed with the Houston Ballet and Texas Ballet Theater in shows such as “The Nutcracker,” “Cinderella,” and “Alice in Wonderland,” Simo’s journey came full circle with her studio, Ballet & Pilates by Victoria.
“I wanted to create a space with a positive environment and love of movement to instill confidence and strength in others, whether it be ballet or different forms of fitness,” Simo said. “There is lots of energy, excitement, and good vibes here.”
Ballet & Pilates by Victoria offers in-person and virtual classes for children and adults in ballet, reformer, Pilates, barre, and stretch. Simo teaches almost every day alongside her talented team of instructors. A devoted wife and mother, Simo has also used her studio to raise $10,000 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. It’s a cause near and dear to her as she continues her own fight with cancer.
“It’s all about getting sweaty, moving your body, and having fun,” she said. “If it’s something you love and are passionate about, and it’s good for the community, and it naturally grows.”
