One of the unexpected perks of working at Total Orthopedics Sports & Spine is the camaraderie among the doctors. As two of the seven orthopedic specialists in this multidisciplinary group, Drs. Steven Morgan and Jason Davis certainly count it among the best aspects of their job. “It’s nice to be around people you enjoy being around,” Dr. Morgan said. “I have the upmost respect for each of these men as doctors, but I also count them as some of my closest friends.”

The benefit for the patients is a built-in second opinion. “We consult with each other, almost daily,” Dr. Davis said. “We keep a group text going at all times and, when one of us needs to consult with someone about a certain patient, we have a highly qualified doctor readily available with the depth of knowledge we need who shares the same patient-first philosophy.” The doctors also assist each other in surgery.

Total Orthopedics Sports & Spine first opened its doors in Allen before there were even hospitals in the area. “Dr. Adams started the practice in the 80s,” Dr. Morgan said. “He recruited Dr. Rodgers and it was just the two of them for some time. I came onboard after I left the Navy. We’ve all been blessed to be a part of this community, to live and work here, to raise our kids here, to attend church here. We’ve been very careful and deliberate about who we asked to join the practice and have had phenomenal luck finding doctors, each are top performers in their specialties, who love the work as much as we do. I feel very blessed to have found a job I truly love doing, something I’ve been doing for over 20 years, and I’m still learning something new every year.”

“I joined the practice on the backs of the men who’d already laid a foundation of trust in this community,” Dr. Davis said. “One of the things I first noticed about this practice is their excellent reputation. They’re part of the communities they serve and everything we do comes down to putting the patient first. The level of skill, integrity, and dedication in this practice has fostered trust in the community. Plus, it’s just a fun place to work. I feel very blessed to be part of this team.”

Each of the seven Total Orthopedics Sports & Spine specialists brings a different skill set to the practice.

They’ve invested in the latest orthopedic technology, including onsite imaging, physical therapy, and an outpatient surgery center so you can obtain all the support and care you need from diagnosis through recovery.

“Once our patients are comfortable with us, we don’t want to have to refer them elsewhere for care,” Dr. Morgan said.“By continually reeducating ourselves and our staff and adding the very latest technology as it comes along, we can continue to offer the best in musculoskeletal care and sports medicine, right here in your community.”
