The Joint Chiropractic

Life today is non-stop. Between work, family obligations, and whatever social life you can manage, who’s got time for back pain, neck pain, headaches, or migraines? Not you! That’s why the board-certified chiropractors at The Joint Chiropractic have returned to the basics of chiropractic care.

Directing DC Dr. Jason Basile explains, “We’re a throw-back to the way chiropractic was originally intended, focusing on adjustments, which are the most important tool any chiropractor has in their tool belt. While a single chiropractic adjustment won’t cure you, a lifestyle of wellness combined with routine adjustments can keep you moving forward into the life you love to live.”

Chiropractic for Everyone

An estimated 35 million Americans are treated by a chiropractor each year, including adults, children — even infants. In fact, all of our 32 NFL teams use chiropractors in season and out to boost athlete performance, improve flexibility and range of motion, treat injuries, promote recovery after practice and games, prevent injury, and maintain overall wellness. If they can do that for these elite athletes, imagine what they can do for you.

Why Chiropractic Works

Your spine and brain make up your central nervous system, which controls the rest of your body. When your spine is aligned and functioning properly, your nerves are able to carry messages efficiently throughout your body, leading to optimal function. A misalignment, however, can prevent this from happening. Chiropractic adjustment is the mechanism chiropractors use to gently and precisely realign and heal your spine and keep everything functioning the way it should.

Here for You

There are people who depend on you. The chiropractors and staff at The Joint Chiropractic understand that. It’s why they’re available seven days a week — mornings, afternoons, and evenings. “No appointment necessary,” Dr. Basile said. “Just drop in, when you need us. We try to work efficiently, so you won’t have to wait, often getting you in and out in five to 10 minutes. We also work to keep our services affordable. We want to be part of your complete wellness team.”

Here for our Community

The Joint Chiropractic is a vital part of our community presenting at local health fairs and supporting local nonprofits. “We also offer discounts to veterans and local first responders,” Dr. Basile said. “This has been a difficult time for our first responders who’ve been working non-stop. We value the service they provide and want to do anything we can — for them and our U.S. service members and veterans.”

Meet The Team

Dr. Azodi

“Stress can cause a number of physical symptoms including, but not limited to, headaches, low energy, aches and pains, tight muscles, joint dysfunction, trouble sleeping, and anxiety,” said Arian Azodi, clinical director of The Joint’s Katy clinic. “Chronic stress increases chronic inflammation, a driver for numerous diseases. That pro-inflammatory response can affect the discs, ligaments, and tendons around your spine. All of this contributes to pain and creates spinal abnormalities that cause destruction far beyond your spine.”

“Chiropractic care enables the body to harness its innate powers to heal on its own,” he continued. “You can’t eliminate stress, but you can incorporate strategies to manage it and reduce its impact on your spine and overall health.” Raised in Canada, Dr. Azodi obtained his Bachelor of Science in kinesiology and health sciences with honors at York University. He received his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Texas Chiropractic College. He also earned a black belt in Taekwondo.

Dr. Ramirez

“It’s essential to be mindful of how we carry ourselves throughout the day, especially during stressful times,” said Vicente Ramirez, DC, BS, clinical director of The Joint, Cinco Ranch. “Whether we’re sitting at a computer or standing and moving throughout the day, proper body biomechanics are important to maintaining a healthy spine. With The Joint’s model of chiropractic, getting adjusted is more convenient and affordable than ever.” Dr. Ramirez obtained a Bachelor of Science in human biology and a Doctorate from Texas Chiropractic College.

Dr. Karis

Dr. Ben Karis was initially drawn to chiropractic care at age eight, after a severe neck injury during a wrestling tournament left him in pain and unable to walk. Only through routine chiropractic care was his body able to heal naturally and regain the ability to walk. Raised in Wisconsin, he obtained his Bachelors of Science degree in marketing at the University of Wisconsin and his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree at Texas Chiropractic College. The most rewarding part of his chiropractic career is connecting with people on a personal level, being involved in his community, and helping people live their best lives through holistic care. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, sports and spending quality time with his wife Laura, their young son, and the family dog, Leine.

Dr. Nguyen

A Sugar Land girl, Paula Nguyen received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Biology from the University of Houston and her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Chiropractic College at Texas Chiropractic College. Dr. Paula advocates a team approach where she partners with her patients to enable their bodies to operate the way they were created to. She’s known and loved for her relaxing bedside manner and ability to really connect with patients. In her free time, she enjoys reading, biking, and exercising with her fiancé.

Dr. Gulzar

Shayan Gulzar first knew chiropractic care was his calling after being injured during a car accident as a young man. The resulting pain and discomfort were only relieved through routine and consistent adjustments. Born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, he received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from LSU and his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Texas Chiropractic College. Dr. Shayan is best known for deeply investing in his patients’ care and partnering with them to find healing through a natural and holistic approach. In his spare time, he loves working on cars and walking his four dogs.
