With its newest location in McKinney, Texas on Virginia Parkway, this third restaurant in the Grind Burger Bar family offers everything available at the other locations, plus tacos. What more could you ask for? No more waiting for “Taco Tuesday” to get your fix. Slide on into the best neighborhood hangout and eatery around. Operator and Co-Owner Robert Hede says, “We are always coming up with unique new ideas for our featured tacos. Some aren’t even on the menu, so don’t forget to ask about them.”

You won’t want to miss crave-worthy taqueria specialties like the NASCAR taco, featuring fried chicken, green chile, cabbage, pico de gallo, tomatillo cream sauce, and more. Or maybe the Caballero with marinated grilled steak, grilled onion, pico de gallo, cheddar jack, and roasted tomato salsa that’s sure to make your mouth water. These represent only two of their many tempting taco creations.

Robert promises, “We’re serious about pleasing our customers at The Grind Burger Bar y Taqueria and The Grind Burger Bar. All ingredients used in our menu items come from the highest quality sources available. What Else Makes this Restaurant Unique?

Well, for starters, the creative appetizer menu. It offers the delicious fare you’d expect at a burger and taco joint, like wings, cheese fries, and fried mozzarella sticks. But you can also take the edge off your hunger with their 5:25 deviled eggs, fried buffalo cauliflower, 7 layer ranch queso, or their newest item, fried stuffed jalapenos. And those mozzarella sticks? They aren’t your typical fried cheese appetizers. They’re encrusted with crispy panko-bacon breadcrumbs.

“We want our customers to feel relaxed and at home when they’re with us,” explains Maddie. The easy vibe and family-friendly atmosphere is sure to keep you coming back again and again. Right when you walk in, you’ll feel your shoulders relax a bit and the stress of your day begin to melt away. In addition to the typical non-alcoholic drinks, you can enjoy specialty house cocktails and martinis, wine by the glass or bottle, and beer on tap or bottled.

Open late for your convenience, the kitchen’s open until 10 PM Sunday through Thursday, and on Friday and Saturday you can order up until midnight. Don’t feel like venturing out? Maddie says, “We offer delivery through Uber Eats, DoorDash, and GrubHub, but we also have delivery directly through us, using our own staff. Our in-house deliveries are always free with no order fees. Any tips go directly to our staff, comprised of local high school and college students.”

It’s Nice to Play Favorites

Co-Owner Robert Hede’s favorite new menu item – at least for now – is the Short Stack Smash. “It’s cooked on our flat top grill to give it a rich caramelization around the edges,” he explains. Manager Maddie Neely says her favorite item is the stuffed jalapenos from the Starters menu because you can truly taste how fresh all the ingredients are and they have the perfect amount of heat. Also a fan favorite, the Cuban from the Other Stuff menu. Chock-full of smoked sliced ham, pulled pork, swiss cheese, and other toppings served on a Cuban roll, it will have you singing “Oh Havana” all evening long.
