Our great state is first in a lot of wonderful areas, a fact that leads more than 200,000 people to relocate here each year. Unfortunately, many of those transplants will get to Texas only to discover they’re allergic to things they’ve never encountered before. To add insult to injury, allergens don’t take the winter off here like they do many northern states. Thanks to mountain cedar, Texans have the displeasure of getting one of the worst allergens during the coldest months when most plants aren’t active.
That makes our state the perfect location for one of the nation’s leading ear, nose, and throat and allergy medical practices, a practice like ENT & Allergy Centers of Texas. The biggest group of their kind in the DFW Metroplex, they offer nine physicians, a physician assistant, and six audiologists working out of four locations to provide everyone from newborns to the elderly with the latest medical advances and minimally-invasive surgical options.
This highly-experienced and credentialed team offers a wide range of services including:
- Tonsil and Adenoid Removal
- Balloon Sinuplasty
- Endoscopic Sinus Surgery
- Treatment for Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Including the New Inspire Implant
- Minimally Invasive Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery
- Treatment for Nasal Obstruction
- Ear Tube Placement
- Microscopic Voice Surgery
- Ear Surgery
Their Hearing Center offers hearing testing, hearing loss treatment, treatment for tinnitus, and ear wax removal. And their designated allergy center offers allergy testing and treatment, and immunotherapy to cure those allergies either by traditional injection immunotherapy (allergy shots) or by the growing popularity of sublingual immunotherapy (drops under the tongue).
Most of us know someone whose quality of life is greatly diminished because of an ENT related problem. Allergies can impact your activity level, lifestyle, productivity, mood, and relationships. So too can sinus disease, thyroid disorders, sleep apnea, and hearing issues. The specialists at ENT & Allergy Centers of Texas spend their days partnering with their patients to help them manage the symptoms of their afflictions and return to the active, vibrant lives they love.
They begin by simply listening. Because no two people are exactly alike, no two medical problems are exactly alike either, and there are many viable treatment options. It’s imperative the doctors slow down and gather the information they need. Only then can they work with each patient to map out the unique treatment plan that’s right for their condition and their lifestyle. They place an emphasis on patient education and empowerment, helping each patient understand their condition, letting them know what treatments or combination of treatments are available to them, and the effects and side-effects of any proposed therapies. The more the patient understands what the doctors are doing and why, the more likely they will be to comply with the proposed treatment and find some relief. At The ENT & Allergy Centers of Texas, each patient’s care is unique to their symptoms and the way they live their life but the goal is the same as their motto, to revitalize your senses.
