At Dental Professionals of Rockwall, Dr. Brigette Koetter knows that patients visit their dentists for a variety of reasons, and she and her staff are ready and equipped to meet all of your oral healthcare needs.

“One of our most popular programs,” said Dr. Koetter, “is our VIP Membership Program. Because many people don’t have access to dental insurance, we designed this program to give them affordable access to cleanings, X-rays, and discounted services all for one annual fee.”

VIP Members receive two complimentary cleanings (which can be substituted for periodontal maintenance if deep cleaning is needed), two oral health checkups, one periodontal screening, all diagnostic radiographs (X-rays), complimentary intraoral and professional photos, and a 20% discount on all other dental treatments, including cosmetic makeovers.

Patients receive all of this for the cost of two cleanings. Prices vary depending on how many people are covered. For a single individual, the annual cost is only $469; for two people, $749; and for a family (two adults/two children up to age 14), $1,059/year. Any additional memberships are $250/year. *

“While this is not dental insurance and cannot be combined with dental insurance,” explained Dr. Koetter, “it is a convenient financial option to give you the smile you deserve.”

Dental Professionals of Rockwall patients who need crowns also get VIP treatment. Cerec (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) crowns are an innovative technology that allows patients to have crowns made the same day they are seen, which means that there is no need for a temporary. It utilizes advanced technology to measure the tooth and the oral structures to create a digital model. Dr. Koetter then designs a custom crown that is milled in the office. It only takes a couple of hours from start to finish.

“The digital scanner has so many features, including shade matching and bite adjustments,” said Dr. Koetter. “We can even replicate your previous tooth if that is what is preferred. Anything that was formerly made with impressions, we can do with the scanner, and the best part is there are no gooey, sticky impressions.”

Another difference at Dental Professionals of Rockwall is the use of digital X-rays, an advantage that benefits both the patients and the environment. Digital X-rays reduce a patient’s exposure to radiation and reduce the release of harmful chemicals and other wasteful materials to the environment. Perhaps the biggest advantage of using digital versus traditional X-rays is that it increases diagnostic proficiency.

With all of Dr. Koetter’s and her staff’s experience in dentistry, they know that it is sometimes difficult for patients to understand the condition of their teeth. Intraoral cameras allow them to show patients what they see. The cameras are connected to a monitor, and they take a tour of the patient’s mouth. The magnification and photos allow Dr. Koetter to show the patient cracked teeth, worn or defective fillings, and decay before they become larger or more expensive problems.

“We use the cameras as tools to educate our patients,” said Dr. Koetter. “For example, when we encounter a soft spot on the patient’s tooth, we can instruct them in ways to ensure that it doesn’t get worse, like daily flossing and using products — like toothpaste and mouthwash — that contain fluoride.”

Other important ways to maintain a healthy mouth are to eat a balanced diet and limit snacks between meals, make appointments for regular cleanings and oral exams, replace your toothbrush every 3-4 months, and make sure children under 12 drink fluoridated water or take a fluoride supplement if they live in a non-fluoridated area.
