As a dentist with over 15 years of experience, Tonie Lewis, DDS has the knowledge and training needed to be an excellent dentist and a true passion for her work. “Crafting attractive, healthy smiles for those in need is my joy and passion,” Dr. Lewis explains. “I provide gentle, conservative oral healthcare, integrating advanced technology whenever possible to improve patients’ experiences.”

After she obtained her Bachelor of Science in biological science and a minor in chemistry with honors from the University of Southern Mississippi, Dr. Lewis graduated from the Howard University College of Dentistry, where she received the Community Dentistry Award and the Academy of Esthetic Dentistry Award. A proud American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry member, she is also certified in Invisalign and laser dentistry.

Dr. Lewis’ practice, Allen Smile Design, is about helping patients with all their dentistry needs and making them feel safe and comfortable. The staff doesn’t push services patients don’t need but instead truly listens to their concerns and plans accordingly. A vital part of this process is educating everyone to ensure they get the most out of their treatments and make an informed decision on what’s truly best for them.

By staying current with the latest developments in dentistry through technological updates and continuing education courses, Dr. Lewis ensures that her patients get the most up-to-date care and treatment to keep their teeth strong, clean, and healthy. For example, some new treatments offered at the practice include BIOLASE dental lasers, Zoom teeth whitening, and iTero intraoral scanners.

Dedication to every patient who enters the practice is at the core of Allen Smile Design’s values. “We allow a generous amount of time and attention for each patient’s appointment, never double booking or overextending,” Dr. Lewis explains. “When I meet a patient for the first time, I aim to get to know them personally. By forming positive, solid relationships, we can work together to create the best possible treatment for meeting their goals.”

Our team shows genuine concern and compassion for patients, calling them the same evening as their procedure to ensure they’re doing well without any dental-related issues. Happily married to her high-school sweetheart, Derico, Dr. Lewis and her husband have two children, Olivia and Blake, and a fur-baby goldendoodle named Ace. When she’s not hard at work making people’s smiles brighter, Dr. Lewis loves traveling, participating in local fun runs with her friends, and attending her kids’ swimming, golf, volleyball, and basketball events.
