Patients no longer have to travel long distances to receive spine-specialized treatment from award-winning, innovative physicians.
All Aspects of Spine Care Provided Here
Spine Team Texas has been established in the North Texas area for over 10 years, starting with their flagship clinic in Southlake and branching out to seven convenient locations across the metroplex. Through in-depth knowledge and a team approach to care, Spine Team Texas’ physicians and medical staff are dedicated to treating patients conservatively through education, spine-focused physical therapy, nonsurgical treatments, and minimally invasive spine surgery as a last resort or when medically necessary.
Their conservative treatment model and team approach has a proven success record with 90 percent of patients successfully treated without surgery. When surgery is indicated, using minimally invasive spine surgery techniques, patients can resume normal activities and return to job responsibilities sooner and with fewer modifications, providing the best possible outcome for the patient.
Board Certified Specialists Offer Relief for Spine Pain
David Garrigues, MD, physical medicine and rehabilitation physician, specializes in nonsurgical interventional spine procedures and spine pain medicine. He completed his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, an internship in internal medicine at UT Southwestern and Parkland Memorial Hospital, a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, and a fellowship in Pain Management at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital and Carolina Pain Institute.
Leonard Kibuule, MD, an orthopedic spine surgeon specializing in minimally invasive spine surgery techniques, offers patients the OLIF procedure—an innovative spine surgery for those with low back and/or leg pain due to diseases and conditions that have not responded to nonsurgical treatment. “The OLIF requires a smaller incision and results in less scarring, a quicker recovery, and crucial vessels manipulation is avoided,” said Dr. Kibuule, also a partner at Spine Team Texas. He also provides many other minimally invasive spine surgery procedures to help patients get back to an active lifestyle with little interruption.
