Prosper Oral and Facial Surgery

From completing a tour of duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom to participating in many community outreach programs, Dr. Ranschaert has made it his life’s mission to help people.

“To be able to give people a reason to smile and feel confident about themselves — that’s just life-changing in so many ways,” said Dr. Ranschaert. Upon receiving his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, Dr. Ranschaert volunteered for active duty in the U.S. Army. During his military service, he completed his residency in general dentistry at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and a four-year surgical residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Womack Army Medical Center at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. “I chose to complete more training to provide greater care for my patients—not only to perform extractions and place implants, but to repair facial injuries and deformities such as cleft lip and cleft palate.”

Safe, Compassionate Dental Care

Dr. Ranschaert and his staff at Prosper Oral and Facial Surgery strive to provide the highest-quality care and dental services for their patients. “From the moment you contact our practice, it’s our purpose to create an atmosphere where the patient is confident in their decision in choosing us for their treatment. We have a detailed discussion where we talk about what we’re going to do, including the potential risks and benefits. It’s part of our mission to ensure that we deliver foremost quality treatment using ultramodern technology. We are dedicated to our patients before, during, and after surgical procedures by having appointments available Monday through Friday and after hours as needed.”

Making an Impact

Giving back to charitable organizations plays an important role in how Dr. Ranschaert does business. “We are a service organization at our core. How we serve our team members, our families, and our communities ultimately leads to how we serve our patients,” he said. “By participating in outreach programs, including Dentistry from the Heart and We Serve, we are able to focus on two areas—improving access to oral care and strengthening the community we live and work in. Taking care of patients’ oral health can make just as great of an impact on our own lives as it does for those we serve.”

One local man benefitting from the big heart and sharp skills of Dr. Ranschaert is Dreshaun S. He was a young homeless man who was trying to make positive changes in his life, but the pain he experienced from having bad teeth kept his confidence down. “I never expected Dr. Ranschaert to help me the way that he did, and his kindness has made me want to help others. His entire team made me feel at home and he is a great leader. He certainly chose the right people to work with him.”
