Recent statistics published by the American Liver Foundation state that currently, liver-related diseases affect more than 30 million Americans. That’s a lot of sick livers!

The Liver Institute at Methodist Dallas is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary disease management center specializing in diseases of the liver, bile ducts and pancreas. Located adjacent to Methodist Dallas Medical Center, The Liver Institute brings together a team of leading clinicians and researchers within the field of hepatology, gastroenterology, oncology, interventional radiology, hepaobiliary-pancreatic surgery and organ transplantation. “We are a multi-specialty practice and one of only three in the state to offer such a comprehensive scope of care,” said Dr. Hector E. Nazario, chief of division of hepatology for Methodist Dallas. “And we are the only one of those three that has all these services and specialties under one roof.”

Comprehensive Care for
a Lifetime

One of the strengths of The Liver Institute is the team approach that makes sure each patient is taken care of in a timely manner and with patient convenience in mind.

Access to care is a big priority and each of the doctors helps one another to make sure patients are seen quickly with minimal delay. “We have patients that come from all over the state so we are very mindful of having all the services they might need right here in one location,” said Dr. Nazario. “All of our providers are here in the same building
and along with our own dietician and social worker.”
