Dr. Leslie Carroll, D.M.D., M.S. is a Board Certified Periodontist of the American Board of Periodontology, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of gum diseases, dental implants, gum recession, crown lengthening and oral pathology. Dr. Carroll completed her undergraduate training at St. John Fisher College, in her hometown of Rochester, New York. She then attended dental school at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. During dental school, Dr. Carroll was drawn toward the specialty of Periodontics, and following graduation she completed a three-year Periodontics residency at the University of Iowa, where she also completed a Masters degree in Oral Sciences. Following graduation, Dr. Carroll achieved Board Certification in Periodontology, which requires completing a comprehensive qualifying and oral examination covering all phases of periodontal disease and its treatment, including dental implants.
Her impressive credentials are complemented by her personal and caring approach to patients. Dr. Carroll wants each of her patients to achieve the best oral health and takes time with each individual to develop a personalized treatment plan. “Every person is different and so are their needs. I love interacting with every patient on a personal and professional level,” Dr. Carroll says. She and her staff are focused on patient care, making sure questions are answered and patients are beyond satisfied with their experience.
Dr. Carroll and her team of highly trained surgical assistants, hygienists, and office staff are recognized experts in their field and are committed to continuously improving their standards through continuing education. Spend a few minutes with Dr. Carroll and you know she is passionate about her patients, her staff, and her practice. “I really believe we are the best at what we do. We offer patients a family-like atmosphere, and conduct ourselves with excellence. Our patients know they are our priority from the moment they walk in the door and can feel confident in our hands.”
To improve her patient’s experience, Dr. Carroll uses many advanced techniques not offered by other local practices, such as computer guided implant surgery. Dr. Carroll employs CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) scanning technology to visualize the best sites for dental implant placement in three dimensions. This enables her to precisely plan each patient’s individual treatment plan well in advance of surgery. Dr. Carroll’s use of computer guided implant surgery delivers great patient satisfaction because it simplifies the dental implant treatment process.
Dr. Carroll continues to make advances to find techniques to minimize patient recovery time and to provide her patients with the best outcomes possible. For instance, when performing soft tissue grafting, Dr. Carroll frequently uses a donor graft material. This allows for a faster, less painful recovery for her patients. Her office has the ability to use PRP (platelet-rich-plasma), to expedite initial healing, and reduce swelling following treatment. IV conscious sedation is provided, so that patient’s are relaxed and comfortable during their treatment.
Dr. Carroll and her husband live in Corinth with their two-year old son. When not at her practice, she dedicates time to her family, enjoying the outdoors and fishing, and loves to read when she can. Both she and her husband attend a local church and participate in home groups. Dr. Carroll and her staff are involved in community service as well and have given to Bea’s Kids and the Denton Food Bank, among others.
What Patients are Saying:
“I had such a great experience with this office & the doctor. All of the staff are on their “A” game constantly. They really have a sense of integrity & pride. They make you feel like you are the only person in their office at all times. The doctor explains things very thoroughly & gives you the opportunity to ask consequential questions. I can’t wait til I get to go back & experience the final product. I am really looking forward to it.”
“Professional, timely and NICE. These are the three things that describe the service and care I received from Dr. C and staff! They ensure you feel comfortable, spend the time needed to make sure you have all information and will literally hold your hand if that is what is needed. I couldn’t have asked for a better team for my surgery. Thank you NTPI Team for everything!”
“My experience with North Texas Periodontics has been exemplary. Dr. Carroll is incredibly good. I have never had pain at all, bleeding or any kind of swelling or infection. The attendants are wonderful, courteous and super helpful. It’s a very nice ambience all around. Have been recommending them to everyone I know. I am old so I have had many problems with my mouth all my life, this has been the best experience of all.”
