Helping Patients Heal And
Dr. Oladele Adebogun, practice founder and board-certified psychiatrist, provides a unique and personalized approach to mental health care in a friendly, responsive, welcoming environment. In addition to Dr. Adebogun, Mind Matters PsychiatryMD’s multidisciplinary team specializes in a wide range of skills, providing customized treatment for children and adults suffering from a broad spectrum of chronic mental health issues. The staff is trained in practically every need—from depression, anxiety, grief, addiction, and relationship issues to adolescent issues, body-image, play therapy, expressive arts, EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), and more.
“We’re only as good as our staff, and psychotherapy is only as good as the counselor holding the session,” Dr. Adebogun shared. “From day one, our nurturing and empowering team has played a key role in our mission. While there are many therapists in the marketplace, we are very discriminating. We recruit the highest caliber talent and also make sure the talent aligns perfectly with the patient population of the practice.”
Dr. Adebogun added, “Patients bring a lifetime of issues with them. It is vital that each counselor has a sterling intellectual base from which to draw, a deep, nonjudgmental capacity for empathy, and the ability to put it all in context for each client in real time, so they can find more peace in their lives.”

Creating The Best Solution For Each Patient
Dr. Adebogun, who is known for his warm personality and reassuring demeanor, tailors treatment to the individual characteristics of each patient, working in an orchestrated manner with the rest of the Mind Matters team. He practices evidence-based medicine (validated by documented scientific evidence) and applies this throughout his practice. A good example is the use of genetic testing to analyze how genetic makeup affects an individual’s response to drugs.
“Our goal is to maximize a patient’s emotional functionality so he or she can get more enjoyment out of life and spend time with family and friends,” Dr. Adebogun said. “Determining the right combination of medication with the least side effects, or providing relief with drug-free, noninvasive treatment such as TMS therapy, is a critical component. When you find the best solution, it’s like a miracle for the patient.”
