MEDICAL AND RADIATION ONCOLOGY

Their 12 medical oncologists, skilled radiation oncologists and support staff help patients every step of the way, offering absolute leading-edge treatments with kindness, caring and compassion. Based on the cancer type and its location, radiation can be used alone or in conjunction with chemotherapy and surgery to provide the most effective outcome. The multi-disciplinary approach to medicine offers a singular source for their patients’ healthcare needs. Medical oncology treatments include the latest, most aggressive medications to eliminate cancer cells. Millennium has also participated in and has access to clinical trials designed to give patients access to promising new treatments for cancer.

Millennium’s radiation oncologists use the most advanced radiation therapy technology. Their radiation center is equipped with cutting edge technology to help achieve cures while limiting side effects from treatment. They offer stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), image guided radiotherapy (IGRT), 4-D treatment planning, the Calypso system for gated treatment, and much more. The center is headed by a board-certified radiation oncologist and is staffed by certified medical physicists, dosimetrists, and radiation therapists.

DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES

Treatment is only as good as the diagnosis and Millennium excels at both. Millennium Physicians’ quality diagnostics allow their doctors to detect cancer in its early stages and to determine the effectiveness of cancer treatment as well as the ability to monitor recurrence. State-of-the-art diagnostic equipment includes PET and CT scans, MRI, flow cytometry, and ultrasound. In addition, they now offer low dose CT lung screening scans at all of their locations.

Millennium’s family practice physicians treat patients of all ages, providing a wide range of expertise and care for overall health, including preventive care. The group’s general surgeon has a broad knowledge of medical conditions and diseases that may need a surgical procedure, while their internal medicine physicians help prevent, diagnose and treat a wide range of adult diseases and solve complex medical issues. MILLENNIUM PHARMACY Millennium’s goal is to make things as convenient as possible, providing their own in-house pharmacy for you. Experienced working with many different insurance carriers, the Millennium Pharmacy fills and dispenses most medications issued by their doctors. With pharmacies in The Woodlands and in Kingwood, they can fill your prescription regardless of at which location you are seen.
