Cardiologist Dr. Majid Basit earned his medical degree at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. He completed his residency at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth and a fellowship at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Warren, Michigan. Board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology, Dr. Basit has conducted basic science and clinical research, is published in national journals, and consults at professional conferences. He focuses on educating his patients about their health and treats them with compassion and respect.
Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Marcin Bujak earned his medical degree at Jagiallonian University Medical Academy in Kraków, Poland. Following medical school, he completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. He went on to complete a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology at Yale School of Medicine and Yale-New Haven Hospital. Dr. Bujak offers a complete scope of diagnostic testing, treatments and procedures, ranging from ultrasonography of the veins and arteries through echocardiography and cardiac stress tests to catheterization of the heart and vessels.
Gastroenterologist Dr. Nadim Jafri earned his medical degree at Sindh Medical College at the University of Karachi in Pakistan. He completed his residency at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Kentucky and a fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Jafri’s primary clinical interests are abdominal pain, reflux, heartburn, and hemorrhoids. He creates an individualized treatment plan based on careful assessment in combination with any necessary diagnostic testing.
Pediatric Gastroenterologist Dr. Kalpesh Thakkar received his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Science Center and completed a pediatric residency at UTMB School of Medicine and GI fellowship training at Texas Children’s Hospital Baylor College of Medicine. Among the many gastrointestinal conditions he treats, he delivers care to patients with constipation, abdominal pain, irritable bowel syndrome, obesity, reflux, and food allergies. “The ability to improve a child’s condition and watch them grow through each stage of life is extremely rewarding,” said Dr. Thakkar.
Urologist Dr. Kyle Keyes obtained his medical degree at UTMB School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency. He sees patients ages 18 and up for voiding issues, elevated PSA, urinary tract infections, kidney stones, adrenal masses, all types of urological cancers, and incontinence. Dr. Keyes takes the time to listen to his patients and works with each one to create shared medical decisions so they all can feel confident in their plans of care.
Urologist Dr. Zachary R. Mucher earned his medical degree at UTMB Medical School and completed his residency in urology at UT Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. Dr. Mucher is board certified in urology. His primary clinical interests are male sexual health and infertility, female incontinence/prolapse, prostate disorders, kidney stones, urologic oncology, and robotic surgery. He was proud to serve in Iraq, acting as the sole Air Force urologist in theater during the troop surge of 2007, for which he received the Air Force Commendation Medal.
Urologist Dr. Karen M. Tart graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in human biology from the University of Texas at Austin. She then received her medical degree from the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth in Houston with the distinction of being inducted into the national honor medical society, Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Tart understands the sensitive nature of seeking care for urological conditions as she creates a caring and comfortable environment for her patients.
Otolaryngologist Dr. Sreekrishna Donepudi received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He completed his residency in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, where he also completed his internship in general surgery. He manages general ear-nose-throat (ENT) problems such as hearing impairment, ear infections, balance disorders, sinus infections, problems that affect smell and breathing, and conditions involving the throat which can affect speaking, eating, and swallowing.
