Vani Venkatachalam, MD
Founded in 1991, MD Pediatric Associates (MDPA) is a private medical practice that cares for children from birth through young adulthood. With state-of-the-art offices in Coppell and Flower Mound, North Texas families can receive high-quality, compassionate care close to home.
MDPA’s experienced team of pediatricians and advanced practice providers care for children’s urgent and non-urgent needs. Parents can bring their children to same-day appointments when their children are experiencing an illness or injury, or for regularly scheduled well-child visits and vaccines.
With the goal of making medical care convenient and accessible to North Texas families, MDPA offers online scheduling, telehealth solutions, web messaging, and a 24-hour nurse advice line. With evening and weekend hours, parents can schedule a sick visit or well-child visit when it’s most convenient.
“We emphasize quality care and service. We want parents to rest assured that their child’s well-being is our primary focus whether it’s a well-care visit or a sick visit”
“We emphasize quality care and service. We want parents to rest assured that their child’s well-being is our primary focus whether it’s a well-care visit or a sick visit,” says Dr. Vani Venkatachalam, a board certified pediatrician who has been with the practice for more than five years.
MD Pediatric Associates is especially pleased to offer telehealth options, which allow parents to connect with pediatricians from the comfort of their home. “Life is busy. We understand that parents can’t always take time off work to have their child seen during regular business hours,” she says. “Telehealth is a great option for busy parents.” Dr. Venkatachalam is available for telehealth centered around travel advice and vaccine information.
Whether she’s providing virtual care or visiting with patients in the office, Dr. Venkatachalam enjoys getting to know her patients and their families. She also enjoys being involved with the community and local schools, including career days and prenatal visits at the community hospital.
Dr. Venkatachalam wants patients and their families to feel completely at ease and comfortable. A multilingual pediatrician, she speaks several Indian languages, making it easy for many families to communicate and connect with her in a personal way. Because of this personal touch, Dr. Venkatachalam can establish trust and form meaningful connections with families.
“Many of the parents who bring their children to us were once patients at MDPA”
“Many of the parents who bring their children to us were once patients at MDPA,” says Dr. Venkatachalam. “This speaks volumes about our ability to form long-lasting bonds.”
The practice focuses on comprehensive medical care including children’s mental health. While MDPA’s pediatricians often see patients for anxiety, depression, or ADHD, they also have a pediatric psychiatrist who works on staff, making it easy for patients to receive care that’s closely communicated between the pediatrician and the psychiatrist.
If children need specialized treatment, the physicians at MDPA can refer families to network specialists. With MDPA serving as their children’s central home for medical records, parents can enjoy peace of mind knowing their child receives continuity of care.
Many local families have come to trust the expert, friendly care they receive at MDPA. One parent commented, “MD Pediatric is convenient and always accessible. I feel confident with how my children are cared for.” Another parent said, “Very nice office, staff and doctor. One visit changed our whole world around. Glad to have found our doctor and this office.”
If your family is looking for a new medical home, let MD Pediatric Associates care for your children at every stage. Dr Venkatachalam is accepting new patients.
