George Bobbit knew from a young age that he wanted to be a doctor; to help people feel better. After graduating valedictorian of both his high school and pre-med, he researched the field of chiropractic and realized he agreed wholeheartedly with its philosophy that the body can heal itself from the inside out, if given the opportunity. He again graduated Summa Cum Laude, this time from Texas Chiropractic College. And after twenty years, now with two thriving chiropractic practices and thousands of patients, his enthusiasm for healing people and his thirst for further knowledge of the healing arts have not wavered.
“I learned early on that the nervous system controls all the functions of the body,” he said. “If there’s an interruption in the nervous system, the body can’t operate or function at full capacity which can lead to malfunction and disease. Since the ‘interruption’ is often a misalignment of the vertebrae in the spine, if the spine can be realigned, health and function can be restored.”
“I’m intrigued with combining the healing benefits of spinal manipulation, spinal decompression, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, massage, and nutrition,” he said. “Using these healing arts all together offers the best results in the shortest amount of time. I’m now researching and formulating a new technique to heal and correct chronic pain in the spine, because many patients are still complaining of problems, after all traditional and non-traditional methods have been tried. Spinal decompression is quickly becoming my favorite area of study, since there appears to be no other holistic way to restore and rehabilitate spinal discs. I’m also studying and researching the effects of stress on the nervous system and its effects on healing and disease.”
When not on the job, Dr. Bobbit has an insatiable desire to increase his knowledge of both the healing arts and of the Healer. “When I’m not studying and researching healing, I’m studying, researching, and experiencing God,” he said. He’s very active at his church where he teaches Sunday school and serves on the Life and Mission Counsel. For four years, he’s served as a Big Hope mentor.
“It hurts my heart to think that many are suffering and dying unnecessarily because of what they don’t know,” Dr. Bobbitt said. “I have a huge desire and passion to help as many people as possible in their quest for health and to educate them about their health, so they can live longer, be healthier, stay healthy, feel younger, and have the best quality of life possible.”
