When newer Realtors see Kimbra Valachovic at the top of her game, few of them realize the obstacles she overcame in becoming a top-selling Keller Williams Southwest (KWSW) agent. Not that long ago, she was a 36-year-old widow with three small children and no idea how she’d keep a roof over their heads. “How would I pay for college?” she said. “How would I give them the life I wanted for them? The Lord directed me to real estate and a position at Keller Williams, which is known for helping Realtors become successful business owners.”
The people she met at Keller Williams Southwest became her family. “My Pecan Grove neighbors were family, too,” she said. “They mowed my grass, babysat my kids, were there for anything we needed. My Keller Williams family helped me realize there was no ceiling to what I could make and helped me believe in my own ability.”
Kimbra spent most of the next 16 years as a top Keller Williams Southwest agent — and is still in the top five among 560 agents today. “My greatest success is the team I’ve built,” she said. “At 61 and with my kids out of the house, I don’t want to work as hard. I want to work smart and invest in the newer agents coming behind me, the way so many invested in me.”
Two of the agents who meant a lot to Kimbra in her early years were team leader and coach, Andi St. Jean, and agent, Sharon Parker. Now, she’s able to do for others what these two outstanding women did for her, as she teaches classes and mentors newer agents on her team. “I enjoy working with anyone who wants to take the time to listen and learn about best practices in real estate,” she said.
Kimbra is the epitome of the KWSW “Giving Where We Live” philosophy, always looking for ways to make an impact in her community, including serving as an ambassador for Child Advocates Fort Bend and East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry, financially supporting local arts and sports in the schools, and spearheading KWSW’s support of many local charities.

What truly sets her apart as an agent is the ability to translate her years of market knowledge into real-world help for sellers who need advice on how to sell for top dollar. She provides clients hands-on design services, reliable contractors, professional stagers, and exceptional photography with focus on preparation and promotion at the highest level. “This same advice helps buyers see untapped potential in homes that need a little work,” she said.
