When Jill Gilbert founded Memorial Family Connections — a group therapy practice offering counseling services for individuals, couples, and families — her mission was to create a supportive space for people to turn to during times of struggle. “It’s okay to not be okay,” says Jill, “and Memorial Family Connections creates a safe place for people to work through life and relationship challenges.”
Jill intentionally curated a team of caring, licensed professional counselors with the expertise necessary to address a client’s unique needs. “Each therapist was hand-picked because of their exceptional credentials and ethical standards,” she says.
While all the therapists at Memorial Family Connections are equipped to treat any number of challenges, each also has a specialty. This allows clients to find the counselor best suited for their needs. The practice works with individuals and couples, or the entire family system. The therapeutic team has expertise in many areas, including anxiety, relational conflict, burnout, divorce recovery, trauma, and grief. “We tailor treatment plans to help patients break patterns that are holding them back,” says Jill. They also provide group therapy as well as discernment counseling for those at a standstill or facing a major life decision.
The therapists at Memorial Family Connections understand therapy can seem intimidating. The warm and approachable team promotes mental wellness for clients as they navigate whatever life throws at them. Jill encourages folks to approach life and relationships with intention. “You don’t have to be going through a major trauma in order to receive the benefits of counseling,” she says. “Therapy gives you a chance to be honest with yourself and show up to life as the best version of yourself.”
