Institute for Hormonal Balance and BioTE

Donovitz (Mandy Donovitz) MAN SD Profile 16-3_WEBWhat makes Mandy Cotten feel happy and fulfilled? One answer would certainly be spending time with her husband and baby daughter. Another is meeting and caring for her patients at the Institute for Hormonal Balance. “Balanced hormones are essential for good health and disease prevention as we age,” she said. “At the Institute for Hormonal Balance, we use the BioTE method to optimize hormone levels with tiny pellets just under the skin. I began my nursing career in labor and delivery at John Peter Smith Hospital, watching new families begin. Now as a board-certified nurse practitioner I am able to help men and women achieve the highest quality of life possible by using this revolutionary, bio-identical estrogen and testosterone replacement.”

Empowering Patients

A firm believer in patient education, Mandy has been able to follow in the footsteps of her father and mentor, Dr. Gary Donovitz, as he empowers men and women to reclaim their quality of life and vitality. “Like my father, I believe in providing education and options to our patients, which I’m able to do through annual visits and hormone consultations,” she said. “It’s a privilege for me to work with my dad and to help take care of the patients he’s cared for, during the last 30 years. I’m thankful every day to be able to educate and treat our patients.”

Bio-identical Hormones

As we age, balanced hormones are necessary for good health and disease prevention for both women and men. “At the Institute for Hormonal Balance we optimize hormone levels with tiny pellets inserted under the skin where they release the same bio-identical estrogen and testosterone naturally produced by our bodies and are released into the body as needed,” Mandy said. “Once optimal hormone levels are restored, men and women experience revitalized energy levels, enhanced muscle strength, boosted weight loss, improved mental clarity, and enhanced quality of life”.

Highly-Qualified

Mandy graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and then with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. For five years, she worked in Labor and Delivery and Women’s Services at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. While working at JPS, she completed her Doctorate through Loyola University New Orleans. Mandy is board certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is currently accepting patients at the Institute for Hormonal Balance in Arlington.
