Dr. Suparna Chhibber counts her blessings every day, and she says those blessings are her patients. “We have such wonderful patients who are all like family to us,” Dr. Chhibber says. “It’s a joy and an honor to have the opportunity to help people and families improve their health, manage disease, and guide them toward wellness through preventive care.”
Fulfilling Her Childhood Dream, Dedicated to Helping Others
Dr. Chhibber knew she wanted to become a physician at a young age, and she had a natural interest in the human aspect of medicine. Not surprisingly, patients value Dr. Chhibber as a deeply compassionate and caring physician who takes their best interest to heart, and they show their gratitude. It’s common for Dr. Chhibber to receive hugs from happy patients who appreciate the quality of care she and her team provide. They also refer friends, family members, and colleagues to Dr. Chhibber.
“It’s the ultimate compliment when patients refer others to us, knowing we go the extra mile to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to all who come see us,” Dr. Chhibber says.
Certifications Highlight Quality
Saying you provide quality care is one thing, but it’s no substitute for earning nationally recognized certifications that confirm it. Houston Family and Geriatric Medicine is an NCQA-certified (National Committee for Quality Assurance) Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH). A PCMH practice is based on a closely coordinated team approach to medical care that includes the patient as an active participant in his or her own healthcare. Additionally, Dr. Chhibber’s practice is BTE-certified (Bridges to Excellence) for diabetic care. To earn this certification, Houston Family and Geriatric Medicine had to meet various benchmarks on measures such as A1c levels, neuropathy assessment, and more.
