Local organization celebrates season while benefiting children
Engel & Voelkers will present the 2019 Southlake Holiday Home Tour, benefiting Christmas is for Children, on Sunday, November 17 from noon until 5 PM. The tour will showcase five residences in the Southlake/Westlake area. Each location features stunning interior design, architectural details and festive holiday décor.
Since its inception in 1991, Christmas is for Children has helped over 42,000 children and their families enjoy the Christmas holiday by providing gifts, food, and funds. Christmas is for Children partners with sponsored families to meet their needs while ensuring the families retain their dignity, witness the true spirit of Christmas, and realize the very best of humanity. Last year, CIFC volunteers collected enough food to fill 1,200 food baskets, and sponsors provided Christmas gifts to 1,500 children throughout the DFW Metroplex.
“Our area boasts some of the most beautiful homes in the Metroplex. When considering a fundraiser that could appeal to a broad audience and raise much-needed funds for Christmas is for Children, a holiday home tour seemed like an ideal opportunity,” said Abby Waterstreet, CIFC Fundraising and Southlake Holiday Home Tour Chair.
“We are so very grateful for Engel & Voelkers’ partnership in bringing this event to life. We know that the funds raised will have a powerful impact on our community by spreading the love and joy of Christmas to children in need.”
