Gina Biedermann, DDS

Top Docs 2021

Dr. Gina Biedermann would like to offer a great big, heartfelt “thank you” to her loyal family of patients. Throughout a year that’s brought so much uncertainty, they’ve continued to brighten her days by allowing her and her staff to care for them. In fact, Dr. Biedermann’s patient base has grown this year as satisfied patients refer their family and friends to the dental home where they feel so pampered and appreciated.

“Nothing is more flattering to us than a patient who’s so happy with the care they’ve received they refer their parents or grandparents to us or get married and bring their spouse and kids,” she said. “We have several families for whom we treat multiple generations. Being part of these extended families adds even more to an already rewarding job. Patient recommendations are a sign of our patients’ trust in the care our practice provides. For that, we’re truly grateful.”

As the number of patients has grown, so have Dr. Biedermann’s dental offerings. These pictures show some of the services she offers and the dramatic results her patients are enjoying.

Invisalign Clear Tooth Aligners

When Invisalign technology burst on the scene, it dynamically changed tooth alignment forever. One of the most popular modern orthodontic solutions, it works by gently—and discretely—adjusting your teeth into their ideal position through a series of clear, custom-fit aligner trays. Invisalign can deliver results much faster than traditional metal braces—in as short as six months but an average of 12 to 18 months, as opposed to two years or more—and can be removed for special occasions or to clean your teeth. “We can scan an image of your teeth with the iTero intraoral scanner and show you exactly what Invisalign can do for you,” Dr. Biedermann said.

An insatiable learner, Dr. Biedermann participates in a study group of other top Invisalign providers. Together they consult on cases and share knowledge. “These are people who’ve completed 100’s of Invisalign treatments each,” she said. “We share ideas and tweak patient plans together, focusing on how we can enhance the patient experience and shorten the time our patients are in their trays and still provide them with amazing results.”

Few things can boost your self-esteem like a sparkling white smile. Dr. Biedermann offers her patients a combination approach to achieving that dazzling smile. “Many of my patients enjoy red wine, teas, and coffee, which can stain teeth,” she said. “And few people realize healthy foods, like spinach and kale, can dull teeth as well. For them, I can perform in-office power whitening for the brightest white. Then, we can take an impression of their teeth and make custom trays for them to perform touch-ups at home. For those patients who don’t necessarily need much at-home follow-up, we can perform the in-office power whitening, and I send them home with a touch-up pen which they can use for that pop of white before a special occasion or family picture. They simply self-apply the whitening gel on their tooth structure whenever they want it. Still, other patients don’t need the power whitening and will do fine with take-home trays.” Dr. Biedermann can mix and match and customize treatments for each patient based on what they need and want.

When it comes to gorgeous smiles, it’s hard to beat porcelain veneers. They can correct small cosmetic issues such as chips, cracks, gaps, or discoloration visible when you smile or talk. “If you have a great smile but don’t like the color, veneers can change the color,” Dr. Biedermann said. “If you don’t like the shape of your teeth or have a rotated tooth or a space between teeth, we can change that. And with some veneers, there’s very little prep work.”

Since dental veneers are non-porous, they resist staining and protect the natural tooth. With the variety of dental products dentists can choose from, veneers can be made to look like natural teeth. And your veneers will give you a smile you can’t wait to share with the world.

Routine Care and Maintenance

Of course, the goal with each patient is to maintain healthy, natural teeth and gums. It’s also essential to keep all the systems of the body strong by keeping the mouth healthy. “We want to provide dental ‘healthcare’ versus ‘cavity care,’” Dr. Biedermann said. “We focus on patient education and empowerment by conducting thorough exams. We check your teeth and gums’ overall health and perform oral cancer exams with the Oral ID cancer screening system’s help. Routine cleanings, flossing, sealants, and fluoride help prevent dental disease, not only for the beauty of your smile but your overall health. We also review your medical history to stay abreast of your complete wellness and inquire about any new medications and any illnesses that may be impacting your dental health.”

The Latest Dental Technology

Dr. Biedermann uses the Solea Dental Laser for safer, more predictable results on soft or hard tissue. The laser allows her to perform a variety of procedures without anesthesia or sutures, making treatments quicker, more comfortable, and more effective. The Solea laser allows Dr. Biedermann to correct lip and tongue ties with minimal recovery time, heal canker sores, treat periodontal disease, and more.

The newest iTero intraoral scanner allows Dr. Biedermann to obtain highly accurate, 3-D impressions of your teeth without gooey molds and displays images of your teeth onto a chairside computer. This scanner also allows Dr. Biedermann to produce highly natural-looking crowns, bridges, veneers, implant crowns, Invisalign trays, and more. In her free time, Dr. Biedermann enjoys spending time with her family and friends while spoiling them with her baking creations. She also loves discovering quaint little towns or farmers markets on her time off.
