Gina Biedermann, DDS
Dr. Gina Biedermann has two words for the Greater Keller community, “Thank you!”
“I’ve been truly blessed in my life,” she said, “and I’ve been honored to have so many local families not only choose me as their family dentist but recommend me to others.” Often, a new patient will visit Dr. Biedermann and her staff and very quickly, those in their immediate circle become patients as well.
“Often it’s the child we’ll see first,” she said. “The parents tell us they’re so impressed with how comfortable we made their child feel, the way we spoke to them and really listened, and how we made them an active participant in their care. The next thing we know, the parents have made an appointment for themselves. Then we see the grandparents, aunts and uncles, neighbors, and friends. It’s humbling to see the way they’ve put their trust in us and have told everyone what they love about us.”
One difference you can’t help but notice is how much Dr. Biedermann and her staff enjoy what they do. They spend their workdays laughing and joking with patients and with each other. Dr. Biedermann has hand-selected a staff that shares her patient-first philosophy as well as her commitment to staying on top of rapidly advancing dental technology.
“It’s exciting for me to see that although my staff and I are of varying ages, we’re all just as eager to learn,” Dr. Biedermann said. “Together we’ve seen amazing advances in our field. Lasers, digital scanners, and intraoral cameras have all made our patients’ experience more comfortable—and more successful. We’re always eager to learn about the next breakthrough to help us better care for our patients.”
Ever-growing Patient Base
Over the years, Dr. Beidermann has been honored to watch kids grow up in her chair. “The first time they visit me they’re tiny,” she said. “I watch them grow into men and women, head off to college, then come back and get married. We’re excited for the next chapter when they start bringing their own kids to us.”
Dr. Biedermann believes in rewarding a job well done and is always looking for ways to say “thank you” to her employees, too. “I really have been blessed with an outstanding staff,” she said. “And I’m always looking for creative ways to let them know how much they’re appreciated.”
After one particularly busy month, Dr. Biedermann invited her team to gather in one of the operatories. “They assumed it was a training meeting, but I’d invited a Kendra Scott representative to do a pop-up at the office. There was a bag for each staff member with a gift certificate and they were invited to shop for what they wanted. When I can show appreciation for my staff, they know how much I truly value them.”
“We focus on thorough exams, checking the overall health of your teeth and gums, performing oral cancer exams, and taking x-rays when necessary. Routine cleanings, flossing, sealants, and fluoride help prevent dental disease not only for the beauty of your smile, but your overall health. We also review your medical history to stay abreast of your complete wellness, any new medications, and any illnesses that may be impacting your dental health.”
Dr. Biedermann prepares a comprehensive treatment plan for each patient including restoration of any damaged teeth, a full menu of cosmetic/aesthetic options, and proactive at-home care to maintain healthy teeth for a lifetime, always with an eye toward maintaining as much of the natural, healthy tooth as possible. “We want to provide dental ‘healthcare’ vs. ‘cavity care,’” Dr. Biedermann said.
Pioneering the Latest Technology
Dr. Biedermann, to her knowledge, was the first to introduce the Solea Dental Laser to the Keller area. This FDA-approved technology allows for safer, more predictable results on soft or hard tissue, allowing Dr. Biedermann to perform a variety of procedures without anesthesia or sutures, making treatments quicker, more comfortable, and more effective. She can also use the Solea laser to correct lip and tongue ties with minimal recovery time, heal canker sores, treat periodontal disease, and more.
The newest iTero intraoral scanner allows Dr. Biedermann to obtain highly accurate 3D impressions of your teeth without gooey molds. With the iTero scanner she can display images of a patient’s teeth on a chairside computer, so you see what she sees. Working with these scans, she can produce highly natural-looking crowns, bridges, veneers, implant crowns, and other restorations. It also allows her to create Invisalign clear braces so accurate they dramatically reduce treatment time. “We can scan an image of your teeth and show you right then exactly what Invisalign can do for you,” Dr. Biedermann said.
Meet Gina Biedermann
Dr. Biedermann is teetering on the edge of empty nesting with one child in college, one out, and her youngest shopping for colleges. She’s a big advocate of Keller High School and is active in Keller Women’s Chamber of Commerce and First Baptist Church of Keller, where she’s always a welcome sight coming through the door with baked goods for her Bible study group. She enjoys baking, archery, and martial arts and is an avid movie goer.
An identical twin who’s also the mother of twins, Dr. Biedermann loves scoping out new weekend getaways and enjoys having students shadow her. “I love to help someone who’s considering a career in dentistry, showing them the other side of the chair and answering all their questions,” she said. She and her husband can often be seen walking their bloodhound, Arthur, and their basset hound, George.
Peer and Patient-Recognized
Dr. Biedermann has been honored to receive top doctor honors in one form or another for five years running, both from her colleagues and the public. “It has been a true blessing for me to be able to do what I love and to be recognized for my efforts,” she said.
