George H. Bobbitt, DC

Growing up George Bobbitt felt the call to help people feel better. “I set my dreams on becoming a medical doctor,” he said. “After high school, I enrolled in pre-med and excelled, graduating Summa Cum Laude with the highest GPA in my class. My senior year I was inspired to look into the field of chiropractic.”

George found he agreed with the philosophy that the body can heal itself from inside out, if given the opportunity. “I learned for the first time how the nervous system controls all functions of the body,” he said. “If there’s an interruption in the nervous system, the body can’t operate or function at full capacity, leading to mal-function and disease. The cause of this interruption is often a misalignment of the vertebrae in the spine. If the spine can be realigned, health and function could be restored.”

George withdrew his application to medical school and applied to Texas Chiropractic College instead. “I learned how incredible and miraculous the body really is,” he said. “I learned the inner workings and the healing arts and was hooked on chiropractic from that point on.”

George again graduated Summa Cum Laude, second in his class. Since that time, he has combined the healing benefits of spinal manipulation, spinal decompression, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, massage, and weight loss. “Using these healing arts all together gets the best results in the shortest amount of time,” he said.

“I’m passionate about helping people get well without the use of unnecessary drugs or surgery and, I am researching techniques to heal and correct chronic pain in the spine that traditional methods aren’t helping, chief among them spinal decompression, and looking at the effects of stress on the nervous system, ” he said. “It hurts my heart to think that many are suffering and dying unnecessarily because they don’t know what they don’t know. I have a desire and passion to help as many people as possible in their quest for health; to educate them about their health, so they can live longer, be healthier, stay healthy, feel younger, and have the best quality of life possible.”

A lifelong learner, Dr. Bobbitt spends his free time learning how to be a better healer. “I have a burning desire to be a great healer, mentor, philosopher, writer, and speaker,” he said. “I also have an un-quenching desire to fulfill and learn everything I can about God. I spend my free time going to church, studying the Bible’s teachings, teaching Sunday School, and helping facilitate Financial Peace University. I serve on the Life and Mission Counsel for my church and volunteer my leadership for many of the activities to better the mission of making disciples for Jesus Christ that love God, love others, and serve the world.” Dr. Bobbitt is also a four-year mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
