Orthopedics was a natural choice for Frank Rodriguez. A sports enthusiast and son of a physician, who enjoys “fixing things”, he knew from a young age how he’d be spending his days. Combining his passions has allowed him to reduce pain, improve range of motion and restore quality of life for thousands through advanced hip, knee and shoulder replacements. A pioneer in his field, he admits to enjoying the challenges of the more difficult cases. “I enjoy joint reconstruction and replacement very much,” he said. “Technique and technology are advancing so rapidly that it’s a welcome challenge staying abreast of breakthroughs. It’s exciting to see the improvements I can offer my patients that were unheard of, just a few years ago.”
Arlington Orthopedic Associates is known not only as a cutting-edge practice but as a place where patients are known by name and are afforded the time they need to share their concerns and have their questions answered thoroughly. “We try to treat each patient as the individual they are,” Dr. Rodriguez said. “We strive to treat them like family or friends and to fully commit our time and effort to a successful outcome for them.”
Since opening his thriving orthopedics practice in 1994, Dr. Rodriguez has performed hundreds of joint replacements, always considering any non-invasive options first, advancing to surgery only when necessary and then in the least invasive way possible, resulting in shorter recoveries and more positive outcomes for his patients.
Dr. Frank Rodriguez is happy to provide his patients minimally-invasive Sports Medicine and Joint Replacement including care of the:
- Shoulder Resurfacing
- Replacement and Arthroscopy
- Hip Replacement and Arthroscopy
- Knee Replacement and Arthroscopy
- Reconstruction of Shoulder,
Hip and Knee
- ACL Reconstruction
Dr. Rodriguez earned his under-graduate degree at New Mexico State University and his medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and stays abreast of the latest joint technology and techniques with intensive, ongoing continuing medical education. Dr. Rodriguez has served his patients at Arlington Orthopedic Associates since 1999 and is on staff at several area hospitals.
Dr. Rodriguez has obtained extensive experience in both arthroscopy and arthroplasty of the shoulder, hip, and knee, and offers a wide variety of treatments. He works diligently to determine which procedure would be most beneficial for each of his patients. Moreover, he is actively involved in developing more innovative treatment options.
Dr. Rodriguez is a family man. When not on the job, he enjoys the simple pleasures like walking his dogs with his wife of 33 years or shopping and exercising with his two daughters. “For me the best time is attending church with my wife and kids then going out to eat afterwards. Sometimes I can’t believe how truly blessed I am.” Dr. Rodriguez enjoys writing and would someday like to write a book about his walk with the Lord.
An ardent student of the Bible, Dr. Rodriguez has discovered a simple philosophy that guides his days. “Through the years, I have adopted many different sayings or principles to live by,” he said. “But none were completely satisfactory, until I started studying the Word of God. Now I know, keep God first in all you do, family second and work third and everything else will take care of itself.”
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him and who have been called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
