If you live with chronic pain, it can be difficult to see beyond it to live your life to the fullest. The physicians at Flower Mound Pain and Spine Physicians are there to help you identify the source of your pain and customize a treatment plan to help you overcome it.
“Most pain conditions do not require surgery and will improve with a combination of noninvasive or minimally invasive treatment,” said A. A. Hayee, M.D. “This may involve medication, pain relieving interventional procedures and coordination of treatment with physical therapists, chiropractors, surgeons and psychiatrists.”
Patients seek treatment at Flower Mound Pain and Spine Physicians for a myriad of conditions, but the most common complaint is chronic low back pain, which afflicts up to 30 percent of the population at some point in their lifetime. Neck pain is quite common as well. Dr. Hayee encourages people to seek treatment at Flower Mound Pain and Spine Physicians for more complex pain issues as well. “I enjoy using my training to help patients who may not have found relief from their pain elsewhere.”
Flower Mound Pain and Spine Physicians is one of the few pain clinics in the area to offer onsite consultations with a behavioral pain management specialist. Kristin Volck is excited to help patients learn to manage their pain by developing skills to alter negative thoughts and behaviors. If a patient can learn to change their awareness of pain and develop better coping skills, often pain will become more tolerable.
The practice has recently moved to a larger and conveniently located facility on Olympia Drive. All pain procedures are done in the office by physicians who are fellowship trained in pain management. “Pain management is an exciting branch of medicine because we are able to alleviate patients’ suffering. In some circumstances, the patient gets instant relief and that is gratifying for the patient as well as the doctor,” said Dr. Hayee.
