Infertility and miscarriage are emotionally painful and difficult experiences for women to endure, but there is hope on the horizon at Fertility Specialists of Texas. Passionately dedicated to helping women achieve the ultimate goal of pregnancy and delivery of a healthy baby, Drs. Goldstein, Chilvers, and Patel are committed to making comprehensive fertility care easy and accessible without being cost prohibitive. Combining the most advanced, effective technology and outstanding clinical expertise, the physicians use a personal approach structured to support the unique needs of patients from diagnosis to treatment.

Drs. Goldstein, Chilvers, and Patel understand the infertility journey couples have experienced before seeking them for answers. Their center offers a variety of fertility treatment options targeted to each patient’s clinical needs, and provides compassionate, individualized attention throughout the process. Their caring staff offers reassurance and support for patients while they undergo treatment procedures. Every couple and infertility patient is screened for genetic diseases that may run in their family without their knowledge. This genetic testing includes a two-tiered approach that is both innovative and progressive in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility.

Pre-implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) offers cutting-edge technology that may include probing the patients’ DNA for specific gene mutations. Pre-implantation Genetic Screening (PGS) is gene sequencing that looks for random genetic errors that increase with maternal age, including Down Syndrome and other disorders that would lead to unsuccessful implantation and miscarriage. All women are born with a specific number of eggs for their lifetime. “The quality and quantity of a woman’s eggs decrease with age,” says Dr. Chilvers. “Genetic screening allows us to select the best embryos to transfer. We can then select one of the best embryos to transfer for the highest chances of a healthy pregnancy without complications.”

“We have seen increased pregnancy rates and decreased miscarriage rates with Pre-implantation Genetic Screening (PGS.)” – Dr. Rebecca Chilvers

At Fertility Specialists of Texas, it is their goal to provide the highest quality of care. While most of the treatments and procedures involve the woman, they encourage the patient’s partner to be as much a part of each procedure as possible to offer ongoing support. With the latest tools and treatments at their disposal, the team of skilled physicians guide couples on their ultimate journey to a successful pregnancy. “Our goal is to create families and therefore we encourage our patients to know the live birth rates of their specific clinic,” says Dr. Goldstein.  “Our exceptional rates are the direct result of an outstanding medical staff and embryology staff.”
