Family Fair Benefits Homeless Children

Dr Pepper Ballpark Family Fair

A Fresh Start

Overcast skies and blustery wind did not prevent more than 5,100 families and friends from celebrating the new year together at Day 1 Dallas. Returning for its fifth year, the event, which is traditionally held in Dallas, was relocated to Frisco’s Dr Pepper Ballpark and Embassy Suites Convention Center. These venues set the scene for this tons-of-fun family fair for a good cause.

Guests enjoyed a spectacular fireworks show set to children’s music, interactive children’s activities, crafts and games, live bands and performances all while benefiting Vogel Alcove, a nonprofit educational and therapeutic center for homeless children and their families in Dallas.

Vogel Alcove helps children recover from the trauma and stress of homelessness by providing specialized early childhood and school-age programs, and family support services. Since 1987, Vogel Alcove has served more than 16,000 homeless children and families, all at no cost to them.

The evening came to a close with a fabulous fireworks show at Dr Pepper Ballpark. For more details, head to VogelAlcove.org or Day1Dallas.com.
