The only thing worse than suffering from allergies is watching your child suffer. The doctors at Family Allergy & Asthma Care understand that. As moms, they know how it feels to stay up all night with a coughing and wheezing child. They also understand what it is like to check the pollen count before starting each day and to pack the allergy meds before they pack anything else. And if you’re the one suffering, they understand how it feels to want to give your all to your family even when you’re not feeling your best.
Allergies and asthma are two of the most common health problems. Many people who suffer from them do not realize how well they can feel with proper treatment. Whether you have asthma and frequent cough, hay fever, eye or skin allergies, food allergies, immune deficiencies, drug allergies, or chronic sinus infections, the doctors and staff at Family Allergy & Asthma Care want to do whatever they can (including early morning, evening, and Saturday appointments) to make that treatment accessible in your busy life. To better serve their patients, they have locations in Flower Mound and Denton.
The words “family” and “care” are more than just the anchors in their name. They’re what these board-certified allergists do, providing the level of care for your family they demand for their own. They’re relentless in their mission to identify the cause or causes of allergy and asthma symptoms and either cure them or design a treatment plan to make them more bearable.
Allergy & Asthma Care uses a doctor/patient partnership where they journey with families through a process of discovery, education, and planning to improve each patient’s quality of life. These board certified allergists treat both children and adults.
The Journey Begins
Each patient’s care begins with active listening to understand health history and lifestyle habits in order to customize a diagnostic plan. Physicians and team members take time to explain the purpose and method of each allergy test, making patients active participants in their own care. Once test results are in, the doctors present all treatment options. Options are different for each unique patient. Whether your individual regimen involves immunology injections, oral immunotherapy, routine medication, or changes to lifestyle, they take time to make sure you fully understand your treatment plan.
The atmosphere at Family Allergy & Asthma Care is family-friendly. In fact, over the past 22 years, the doctors have nursed their newborns in back rooms, helped study for spelling tests between appointments, and witnessed those precious first steps right in the office. They know and care for their community and sponsor many local non-profit organizations.
An Allergy Tracker app is provided to allergy shot patients. They will receive notifications to remind them when their next allergy shot is due and help them stay abreast of their allergy treatment. Family Allergy & Asthma Care has a certified pollen counting station and provides daily pollen and spore counts for North Texas. It is as easy as going to faaccares.com to find the most current pollen counts for your local area.
In short, they’ll do whatever it takes to help their patients breathe in a brand new way of life—one free from the burden and limitations of allergies and asthma.
