Family Allergy & Asthma Care

Top Docs 2021

If you or a loved one suffer from allergies, you know the frustration of dealing with the many bothersome symptoms. From sneezing and coughing to itchy, watery eyes, allergies can leave you feeling drained. For those with food allergies or the parent of a food allergic child, you know the stress of avoiding foods and the fear accidental exposure can bring.

Whether you suffer from seasonal allergies, food allergies, or asthma, the expert team of fellowship-trained, board-certified allergists at Family Allergy & Asthma Care (FAAC) can help. For more than 25 years, they have been helping children and adults find relief from food allergies, environmental allergies, and asthma.

Committed to staying current on the latest, most innovative medical treatments, medications, procedures, and technology, the caregivers at FAAC offer a full range of services, including allergy testing and asthma testing. FAAC also offers immunotherapy for allergies, including allergy injections and allergy drops, dermatitis patch testing, food and drug allergies, eczema, oral immunotherapy, venom testing, and many more state-of-the-art services and treatments.

At FAAC, each board-certified allergist is trained to see patients of all ages, from infants to seniors. FAAC welcomed Dr. Nana Mireku, board-certified allergist, in 2020. She has lived in North Texas for the last 12 years practicing pediatric allergy, asthma, and food allergy. The FAAC physician team is passionate about educating and partnering with their patients and parents to help bring a healthier life.

FAAC has pioneered tools to make life better for allergy and asthma sufferers, doing whatever it takes to help their patients find peace of mind, free from the burden and limitations of allergies and asthma.

FAAC offers patients an allergy tracker app with reminders of allergy shots. To keep patients updated on daily pollen and spore levels in the North Texas area, the practice runs the North Texas Pollen Station, a certified pollen counting station with certified pollen counters.

The expert physicians at FAAC are also on the leading edge of testing and treatment for food allergies. FAAC’s in-house Food Allergy Institute of North Texas (FAI) is a state-of-the-art food allergy institute that helps patients wherever they are on their journey. From an infant food allergy prevention program to oral immunotherapy or food drops (sublingual immunotherapy), FAI has a program to meet patients’ needs.

As physicians and moms, the board-certified allergists at FAAC want to help their patients get back to enjoying the things they love to do. If allergies or asthma have been holding you back, let the team at Family Allergy & Asthma Care help you breathe easier and live better.

The practice offers convenient locations in Flower Mound and Denton along with telemedicine options. FAAC also provides extended hours by staying open through the lunch hour, offering late appointments on two evenings, and opening earlier on Friday mornings. Saturday morning hours are also available.
