Eggstraordinary – Tips for Hosting an Easter Egg Hunting Party
Host an Easter egg hunting party for little bunnies and older rabbits too!

Whoever said egg hunts and Easter parties were just for kids? With a little forethought, you can plan an Easter-themed afternoon party that’s fun for every-bunny.
Try these egg-cellent party tips and tricks!
Designate different hunting areas for different ages or stagger hunt times throughout the party, so adults and older kids can have a more challenging hunt and little ones will have it easier.
Fill plastic eggs with more than just candy. Try small toys, hair bows, nail polish, stickers, playdough, glow sticks, bouncy balls, fun shoelaces, or movie tickets for kids and look for larger eggs you can fill for adults with little cheeses and sausages, seeds for spring flowers, and maybe even a little money.
Forego the traditional hunt and send teams of party guests (in varying ages) on a treasure hunt with clues inside eggs, each leading to the next clue and eventually to a prize. Or you can play an Easter egg relay with teams (again, in varying ages). One team member finds an egg, tags another player who finds an egg, and so forth, until one team wins.
Keep party foods easy and light, like sliced fruit, spring vegetables, finger sandwiches, deviled eggs, and dips such as hummus, guacamole, or tzatziki.
Include other activities such as sack races or egg-on-a-spoon and insist that grown-ups participate. There are few things as fun for a kid as watching their parents acting like kids themselves.
Deck out a table with dye, paints and brushes, markers, and glitter, and see who can come up with the coolest egg creation.
Wait for it… Peeps S’mores! Set up a station with graham crackers, chocolate bars, a safe heat source, and those wonderful, colorful Peeps to use as marshmallows.
Lastly, be sure to have a backup plan in case the weather turns bad and you must move the fun indoors.
Drinks for Your Peeps
In a three-quart container, mix two 12-ounce cans of (thawed) frozen lemonade concentrate with a half a cup cream of coconut and two thinly-sliced fresh lemons. Stir in six cups of water, then cover and chill before serving.
In a large pitcher, stir together one can of coconut milk, one and a half cups silver tequila, one cup triple sec, half a cup pineapple juice, and a quarter cup of lime juice. For added fun, spread marshmallow fluff around the rim and dip the glass in shredded coconut.
