Immediate Orthopedic Care. Where You Need It. When You Need It. Seven Days A Week

By Annette Brooks

Where do you go if you or a family member suffer a fracture, a knee, ankle, shoulder, back, hip, wrist, or elbow injury, or another orthopedic problem? Most of us head to the hospital emergency room (ER). Yet after the expensive initial assessment, these patients are then sent to an orthopedist for further diagnosis and treatment.

Direct Orthopedic Care (DOC) offers a convenient alternative to the hospital ER, providing accessible, streamlined orthopedic care when you need it, where you need it.

More Peace of Mind

Direct Orthopedic Care focuses solely on orthopedics and has stringent protocols in place to help protect their guests from disease and infection. With standard ERs handling everything, including patients presenting with COVID-19 symptoms, now more than ever, being seen at a DOC office just makes good, solid sense.

A Better Way to Access Orthopedic Care

DOC McKinney on Eldorado Parkway provides seven-day-a-week access to a team of board-certified orthopedic surgeons, pain-management physicians, and specialty-trained physician assistants. They diagnose and treat orthopedic problems ranging from athletic to work-related injuries, breaks and compound fractures, back injuries, chronic pain, and a variety of ailments, including sprains, ligament tears, tendonitis, and arthritis. And with established relationships in place with nearby surgery centers, they can perform emergency orthopedic surgery when required.

“We even see guests for routine services. For example, come see us if you’re going out of town and can’t get in to see your regular orthopedist for arthritis injection therapy before you leave,” says Founder and CEO Dr. David Hassinger.

“Our goal is to enable our guests to see the right people in the right place at the right time,” says Direct Orthopedic Care Founder and CEO Dr. David Hassinger, “and to offer seven-day-a-week access to cost-effective, high-quality orthopedic experience that can help fix one aspect of a broken healthcare system.”

Orthopedic Care the Way It Should Be

Expect shorter wait times at DOC, as well as much lower fees than the hospital ER. Walk-ins are accepted, but scheduling an appointment in advance can help reduce your overall visit time.

Guests and their family members are welcome to wait in the comfortable lobby for an appointment or stay in their car and receive a text or call when ready to be seen.

Patients Praise DOC

Below are just two of the rave five-star reviews DOC McKinney has received from happy guests.

“I had a great experience at DOC McKinney! The check-in process was quick and easy. The lady at the front desk was pleasant and professional. I was taken to a room within just a few minutes of arriving. Moments later, I was seen by a medical assistant, then X-rayed, and within just a minute of being back in the exam room, the doctor came in. He was friendly, thorough, and knowledgeable. He explained the issue, treatment, and next steps. Overall, it was a great experience, and I wish all doctors’ offices operated this way.”
– Steph K.

“This was our first experience with a sports-related injury, and this place was great! We were able to schedule an appointment online and got in immediately. They have X-rays, and everything needed right there in the office. We were fixed up and ready to go within 45 minutes at a very fair price (and they filed with our insurance). We recommend DOC for quick, reliable, and affordable service!”
