Dr. Walter X. Loyola has been performing minimally-invasive procedures for the spine since 1996. He uses the most advanced techniques in minimally-invasive and open spine surgery. Decisions regarding treatment for your spine must be made carefully. Dr. Loyola researches each patient’s condition before determining whether or not surgery is necessary. If the patient’s condition requires surgery, Dr. Loyola evaluates if it can be treated using minimally-invasive techniques. These techniques are gentle and require little to no hospital stay, even when a fusion is necessary.
Dr. Loyola is board certified by The American Board of Neurological Surgeons with a Fellowship in Spine Surgery from the University of South Florida. He also has a Fellowship from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Medical School, Hermann Hospital and trained at the Institute of Neurology in London. Dr. Loyola is a member of the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano Surgery Department.
