People consider vision their most valuable sense. Have you had yours checked lately? Whether you’re due for an eye exam, have a chronic disease or condition that affects the eyes, find yourself squinting at cell phone texts or worrying about spotting road signs, the place to go for quality family eye care is Colleyville Vision Associates.
Personalized Vision Care from Your Neighborhood Specialists
Providing advanced vision care in a comfortable setting has been at the heart of Colleyville Vision since Dr. Carolyn Helbert-Green founded the practice in 2003. She and her team welcome new patients and see familiar faces who have been going to them for years.
“We take pride in building lasting relationships with our patients and enjoy treating multiple generations of family members,” says Dr. Helbert-Green. “We don’t rush patients through exams and spend time educating them about the best visual solutions to meet their needs. We also discuss preventive measures that help maintain optimal vision and eye health.”
Vision Exams and Much More
Coming from a family of educators and as a Vision Source member practice, Dr. Helbert-Green is dedicated to continuing education for herself and her team. Up-to-date on the latest developments in optometry, she meets monthly with her Vision Source peers to share information on the latest medical advancements and collaborate on new technology evaluation.
Recently, Colleyville Vision, added advanced diagnostic equipment that streamlines vision exams. “Patients can visually compare, at the click of a button, last year’s prescription compared to a new prescription recommendation,” says Dr. Helbert-Green. “It helps them understand and determine if they need an updated prescription.”
Colleyville Vision offers more than eye exams. Dr. Helbert-Green and her new associate, Dr. Crystin Webb, are both trained to diagnose glaucoma and to provide enhanced treatment for dry-eye syndrome, allergic eye conditions, infections such as conjunctivitis (pink eye), and foreign object removal. They also co-manage LASIK and post-operative cataract surgery, and offer specialty contact lenses for those over mid-40s, as well as medical conditions such as keratoconus.
Additionally, Colleyville Vision carries a wide selection of fashionable eyewear and contact lenses. Their opticians, who are certified by the American Board of Opticianry, will help you select frames and lenses that complement your features and lifestyle.
“Having different style frames and lens types for different activities and fashion statements makes wearing glasses more fun,” Dr. Helbert-Green says. “Plus sunglasses are important. They protect your eyes from UV rays and help prevent cataracts and macular degeneration”
