Christina Eschbacher is the marketing director for The Village at Allen, but her mission is far bigger than this. Her passion involves bringing events and experiences to the community of Allen that builds a bond and emotional connection among shoppers, the business community, and local nonprofits. “Helping people and businesses in Allen connect with one another comes from focusing on building real relationships with our community,” Christina explains.
During the height of the pandemic, she drew upon her network and was able to donate a space in The Village at Allen shopping center to Exponential Power of Women, a local nonprofit. The organization opened a “prom closet” with 2,000 donated prom dresses. This allowed students in need to have the experience of “shopping” for a prom dress at the storefront.
“During the 2020 holiday season, with my direction, The Village at Allen hosted a drive-in movie style holiday event in the field behind the shopping center. It gave people something special and safe to do outdoors during the uncertainty brought on by COVID-19,” she says. Her generous heart and dedication to giving back shines through in everything she does. When the pandemic scare first began, she aligned sponsorships and a local restaurant, Bar Louie, to feed over 500 frontline healthcare workers at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital. “It’s really about engaging directly with all aspects of the community in order to bring meaningful experiences to everyone.”
