Cherie Clark-Moore moved half-way around the world to Texas with her husband and twin toddlers in 2014. Struggling with life’s challenges, she felt disconnected from herself.

“I experienced major anxiety and depression,” says Cherie. Then she discovered Body & Brain Yoga & Tai Chi – a practice based  on Eastern holistic healing and mind-body practices. “It was such a welcoming place, and I immediately felt more in-tune with myself.” says Cherie. “I wanted to share this practice with everyone.”

She became a Master of the practice and opened a location in Conroe offering classes that integrate stretching, breathwork, Tai Chi Qigong, and meditation. The simple techniques make Body & Brain accessible to everyone. “People of different ages and conditions practice alongside one anther to discover the power of the mind-body connection,” says Cherie.

Body & Brain fosters a community of connection. Members have the option to share their discoveries from class after each session. “It’s a humbling part of our practice that encourages folks to accept themselves,” says Cherie. “Members are invited to stay awhile longer, share healing tea, and let everything settle before heading back into their day.”

With 20 in-person and live-streamed classes each week, it’s easy to get started. “I also offer one-on-one sessions to help people understand the root of their current condition and how to make changes they want for their lives,” says Cherie. First time assessments are $25. All it takes is the willingness to take the first step.
