We often take our oral health for granted. Many people don’t even think about it until they are in pain, especially when they are going through something like a global pandemic. “It’s common to think about our mouth and teeth as being completely separate from the rest of our body,” shared Dr. Dyer. “But they aren’t separate. Maintaining a consistent and thorough oral health routine has always been important not only for a healthy smile, but for its connection to our overall health.”

For more than a decade, the periodontist and implantologist has restored the smiles of thousands of patients in Cypress and the surrounding areas. Dr. Dyer is trained in all aspects of advanced dental services, but specializes in implants, extractions including wisdom teeth, crown lengthening, bone grafting, oral biopsies, and esthetic procedures to restore functionality to the mouth when teeth have been lost due to periodontal (gum) disease. “We handle everything from routine periodontal therapies to emergencies, and we specialize in advanced surgical techniques aided by cone beam volumetric tomography.”

Now that the world is adjusting to new ways of working, many businesses, including dental practices, are discovering what that means for them. Through a caring and safe environment, Dr. Dyer and his technologically advanced team of dental experts ensure that the comfort and health of each and every patient are of primary importance. “We follow the guidance and policies of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners. We are taking all necessary steps to keep our patients and staff as safe as possible from wearing recommended personal protection equipment (PPE), removing extraneous furniture, décor and magazines from the waiting rooms, adding air purification systems throughout the office, increasing disinfection protocols, and prescreening all patients with temperature checks and a questionnaire. Appointment times are also staggered to ensure proper social distancing throughout the office. While these changes may affect some patients’ experience, Dr. Dyer and his team work together to ensure their patients feel at ease. “I have a great staff and my assistants are compassionate,” the specialist continued. “I think the tone is set the whole way because our mission is to help patients’ live healthier lives by providing the most comprehensive treatment for the long-term maintenance of their mouth.”

The doctor’s compassion and expert service has earned him numerous accolades in the community. “Patients know quality care when they experience it. From the actual care of your mouth to the manner with which we talk with you, we are committed to providing clear, accurate, and honest information. But, most importantly, we are hard working. I don’t expect anything less out of my staff then I expect of myself.” This approach, along with having full support from his wife and children, allows Dr. Dyer the freedom to focus on his patients and be attentive to their needs. “I take pride in what I do and it’s a rewarding feeling to have people not only come back to me for further care, but to refer me to their friends and family as well.”
