Drs. Tim Cashion and Teresa Cody have been practicing dentistry together for over 20 years. This husband and wife team created C&C Dental with patient comfort and convenience in mind. “We try to provide all dental services under one roof, while giving our patients convenient hours,” said Dr. Teresa Cody. “Our full-service practice offers family dentistry, laser technology and orthodontic care to patients of all ages. We extend our hours to 7 p.m. three nights a week, open early twice a week and come in one Saturday each month for the convenience of our patients.”
C&C Dental strives to make your visit easy, comfortable and painless by utilizing the latest in laser technology. Three new safe, effective lasers are now available including Waterlase. The Waterlase is the only laser in the world that is FDA-approved for safety and effectiveness for gums, bone and teeth. They also use a laser scanner, which is the best advancement in dental diagnostics since the X-ray. “This laser detects cavities and decay much earlier than the eye can see it or catch it,” said Dr. Tim Cashion. “We use another laser to treat gum disease. Laser gum treatment can eliminate much of the diseased tissue and allow faster healing.”
“C&C Dental helped me when I was in a lot of pain and never made me feel like a burden. They always make me feel like a valued customer and like I’m appreciated. They are always very kind and treat me with the utmost respect. The dentist is not my favorite place to go, but they make it a pleasant experience every time. They have a patient for life with me.” -Nikki B.
To make sure you’re comfortable, C&C Dental provides massage and heated dental chairs and drop-down satellite TVs in every exam room. They also prefer air abrasion to fix cavities, which reduces the need to use loud drills and anesthetic. It is painless and very quiet. Who would have ever thought going to the dentist would be such a pleasant experience? “We have patients who come in sometimes just to hang out in the waiting room,” said Dr. Cody. “They bring their children in once a month for orthodontic appointments and start to feel at home here. We really love it!”
Something Special
Something else very near and dear to Drs. Cashion and Cody is treating special needs children. As parents of a special needs child, they understand the difficulties parents can face getting dental treatment. They decided to construct a dental room with special needs in mind and also started a non-profit, the Changing Minds Foundation, in 2007 to support further research and treatment for individuals with Down syndrome. Their big fundraiser takes place every April in downtown Houston. They release 1000 live Painted Lady butterflies to symbolize the freedom from the intellectual limitations of Down syndrome that treatment can bring. This event is open to everyone.
