C & C Dental

C & C Dental SD FUL 3-16_WEBC & C Dental is committed to families and to improving patient experiences at their dental office in Sugar Land. Husband-and-wife team Drs. Tim Cashion and Teresa Cody have been in joint practice for over 20 years and can provide everything your family wants and needs in a family dentist.

As a parent, choosing a dentist for your growing family involves asking many questions regarding your family’s needs: Will a member of your family need orthodontia? Cosmetic dentistry? What about wisdom teeth removal or dental implants? What if you have a child with special needs, and you need a skilled and compassionate dentist to treat your child with extra care? The professionals at C&C are pleased to address all of your dental-related questions and concerns.

At C & C Dental, they are experienced and skilled with almost every aspect of general dentistry including preventative cleanings, exams, and X-rays. They also can provide dental crowns, implant dentistry, root canal therapy, scaling and root planing, sleep medicine, TMJ treatment, night guards, and employ a laser scanner to detect even the smallest cavity. They can treat the needs of your entire family in their state-of-the-art facility.

They’re also experienced with orthodontics and have the experience and skill to provide patients with their own perfect smile. Drs. Cashion and Cody give free orthodontic consultations and can answer all of your questions regarding orthodontic care. They provide orthodontics for children, teens, and adults and feel that educated patients are the best patients. That’s why they will walk you through all of the steps of orthodontics both before you receive your braces and while you are undergoing treatment to ensure patient satisfaction. Recently Dr. Cody began orthodontic treatment herself, and a 75 year old patient has also opted to get braces. The dentists at C&C believe it’s never too late to improve your smile!

Are you interested in correcting smile flaws and imperfections? C & C Dental is also experienced with cosmetic dentistry including veneers, teeth whitening, and tooth contouring. Porcelain veneers can brighten your smile and give you confidence. They are also stain resistant and will remain beautiful for years to come. Resin veneers are also available to match your existing teeth to help you achieve your most beautiful natural smile.

Dentistry for Those with Special Needs

Drs. Cashion and Cody have extensive experience in caring for patients with special needs. “We have a large special needs population who need extra care with dentistry,” says Dr. Cody. “Here at C & C Dental, we have experience in dealing with both children and adults with special needs. We’re patient and compassionate. We also go above and beyond to make sure all of our patients are comfortable, especially those who are scared and need extra attention. We do everything we can to make it easier.”

As parents of a special needs child, they know how important trust is when seeking medical or dental care for their child. That’s why they work even harder to ease dental anxiety in patients with special needs and have built their practice with new technology in order to lessen the discomfort that dentistry can sometimes cause.

In addition, as the founder of Changing Minds Foundation, Dr. Cody advocates for those with Down syndrome and supports and funds research to improve cognition in this population. Their upcoming fundraiser, “Butterfly Flutterby” will be held at Christ Church Cathedral on April 10 at 1 p.m. One thousand butterflies will be released to help raise awareness for Down syndrome. All are welcome!

Patient Comfort Helps Ease Dental Anxiety

Their office is designed around patient comfort. They have massage and heat in their dental chairs and a movie room. They utilize the Waterlase® Laser Gum Treatment, the only FDA-approved laser for gum disease, to eliminate diseased gum tissue. The tool heals as it cuts, minimizing recovery time and improving comfort for patients. All of their office innovations and improved technology are employed to increase the comfort of patients. “So many people are afraid of dentists, and therefore they neglect their dental care,” says Dr. Cody. “We want to make it as pleasant as possible for our patients, so that their teeth and gums are healthy. We want their dental experiences to be positive.”
