Hujefa Y Vora, MD
“Primary care is a sacred partnership between physician and patient,” he said. “I believe in working with patients and their families as a trusted partner and friend first, then a diagnostician, problem-solver, and care coordinator.” Dr Hujefa Vora’s practice is centered around his strong commitment to building lasting relationships with his patients. To achieve this, he and his nurse practitioners at Bharmal Internal Medicine take care of their patients through all phases of treatment, from the outpatient clinic to the hospital to the rehabilitation facilities serving the Arlington and Mansfield area, a unique feature among primary care practices today.
As a child growing up in Fort Worth, Dr. Vora’s role models were always doctors. “My father fought end-stage renal disease for 25 years,” he said. “The care his doctors gave him sparked my passion for caring for others, a fire that still burns in me today.” This early experience taught Dr. Vora a sense of empathy for his own patients and their families, and insight into the complicated spectrum of fear, hope, anxiety, and elation they go through during the healing process.
Dr. Hujefa Vora strives, above all, to be a good communicator. “Physicians and nurse practitioners must listen and take direction from our patients, interpret our findings, and convey these to our patients and their families in a clear, concise, and compassionate fashion.”
Nurse Practitioners Noelle Petri and Mary Huynh, with their expertise and enthusiasm, bring a positive energy to Bharmal Internal Medicine. They share Dr. Vora’s strong commitment to patient-centered primary care. They provide same-day appointments for established patients, expanded well-woman services and preventative services, home visits, and weekend appointments. Their team approach to primary care allows Bharmal Internal Medicine to serve as a comprehensive complete primary care clinic offering the full spectrum of preventative care services, chronic disease management, and acute nonemergent care. They have recently expanded their office which allows them the opportunity to serve more patients in a beautiful and inviting atmosphere.
Dr. Vora graduated from Austin College with a degree in mathematics and completed his medical school and residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. In his free time, Dr. Vora enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughter gardening, raising chickens, traveling, skiing, hiking, and cycling. He is an active volunteer with his church community and he and his wife take yearly mission trips to third world countries in Asia and Africa. “It’s important for physicians to give back to their communities,” he said. “Without the support of my community, I wouldn’t be a doctor today.” He also donates his time to his preferred hospital, Medical City Arlington, where he recently served as Chief of Staff.
Dr. Vora spends his days addressing these and other concerns with his patients.
