About the Expert

She obtained her comprehensive certification training with Balanced Body, Inc. and has 10 years of experience working with clients of all ages. 3cPilates classes are small by design to provide quality instruction and stay true to the Pilates method.
Q&A
What are the benefits of Pilates?
The Pilates method is a form of exercise focused on engaging the mind with the body to strengthen muscles, increase flexibility, and improve overall health. Every exercise is performed with attention to breath, proper form, and efficient movement patterns. The result is a body that works better, plays better, and feels better. When Pilates exercises are done correctly, they can offer development of long, lean, flexible muscles. They also strengthen the core, relieve chronic back, neck, and joint pain, increase energy and stamina, and offer the ultimate mind/body workout.
How should I choose a Pilates studio?
Look for a studio with experienced, well-trained instructors who’ve gone through reputable comprehensive training programs. The smaller the class size, the better. This gives the instructors the ability to teach to varying levels and provide individual modifications or corrections. You’ll experience a safer, more effective workout. Each client may need to work with different spring tensions or need modifications for an injury. Your instructor can get to know you and what you need for your body.
Am I too old to do Pilates?
Absolutely not. When done correctly with an experienced instructor, Pilates is very safe and low impact. No matter your age or fitness level, you can enjoy a challenging workout that will leave you feeling invigorated, inspired, and rejuvenated — both physically and mentally. We have clients from their teenage years to their mid-80s. As Joseph Pilates said, “A man is as young as his spinal column. If your spine is stiff at 30, you’re old. If it’s flexible at 60, you’re young.”

What makes 3cPilates stand out from other studios?
Real Pilates, real results. You have a lot of choices when choosing a studio. 3cPilates stays true to the method as Joseph Pilates intended. Instructors are encouraged to be creative with their classes while following the key principles of the Pilates Method. We truly care about our clients and offer the premium Pilates experience in a warm, inviting environment.
Our instructors are highly experienced, well-trained, and passionate about what they do. We frequently hear how clients not only experience changes in their bodies, but in their minds, emotions, and lives. It’s a workout they look forward to. It’s also wonderful to see clients help and encourage each other. Positive social connections can have a tremendous impact on your health. That’s what you’ll find at 3cPilates. As Joseph Pilates said, “A few well-designed movements, properly performed in a balanced sequence, are worth hours of sloppy calisthenics or forced contortion.”
