Dr. Jason Lowry, a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon, says his orthopedic surgery practice has a small town approach in the big city. “I treat my patients like family,” he says. “Getting folks back on their feet and enjoying life again is quite rewarding. I have a really fun job.”
He is locally known for his anterior hip replacements and complex, revision hip surgery, but also performs knee and shoulder replacements. He has a special interest in robotic hip replacement; hip and knee replacements for younger, active patients; and complex joint replacements for patients who have suffered from fractures or infections.
Anterior hip replacement is performed through an alternative, muscular interval in front of the hip joint that can aide in a much quicker and predictable recovery.
Dr. Lowry honorably served eight years as a commissioned orthopedic surgeon in the U.S. Air Force, including Operation Iraqi/Enduring Freedom in 2009. He joined Arlington Orthopedic Associates in 2015, after initially practicing in Dallas in 2012.
He is co-director of the Joint Institute of North Texas, which was founded as a center of excellence within AOA and aims to provide the most advanced, evidence-based care for patients with joint problems.
In his free time, Dr. Lowry cherishes time with his wife and two children. As a family, they are involved in their church throughout the year and enjoy being outdoors hiking, biking and fly fishing when time allows. Dr. Lowry and his accomplished team are eager to serve you in Arlington, Mansfield or Midlothian.
