Jason K. Lowry, MD, FAAOS
Dr. Jason Lowry, a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon, says his orthopedic surgery practice has a small town approach in the big city. “I treat my patients like family,” he says. “Getting folks back on their feet and enjoying life again is quite rewarding. I have a really fun job.”
He has a special interest in robotic joint replacement. “Our facility performed the first robotic total knee replacement in our area. We are truly just scratching the surface on how robotics can improve joint replacement outcomes by giving patients a better aligned and balanced knee. I am thrilled we are able to offer this cutting edge technology to our patients.”
Dr. Lowry is locally known for his anterior hip replacements, knee replacements, and revision joint replacements. He is especially interested in robotic joint replacements, hip and knee replacements for active patients, and complex joint replacements for patients who have suffered from fractures or infections.
Anterior hip replacement is performed through an alternative, muscular interval in front of the hip joint that can aide in a much quicker and predictable recovery.
Dr. Lowry honorably served eight years in the U.S. Air Force, including Operation Iraqi/Enduring Freedom in 2009. He joined Arlington Orthopedic Associates in 2015, after initially practicing in Dallas in 2012.
Dr. Lowry has been recognized for his hard work, philanthropy and care. In 2017, he was recognized as a Distinguished Medical Member of the American Arthritis Foundation and has been consistently recognized by his Orthopedic peers as a Top Doc and Super Doc in North Texas. He thoroughly enjoys helping patients regain their mobility and get back to enjoying their lives.
He serves as Director of the Total Joint Program at Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic & Spine Hospital of Arlington and Co-Director of the Joint Institute of North Texas. The Joint Institute was founded as a center of excellence within AOA and aims to provide the most advanced, evidence-based care for patients with joint problems.
In his free time, Dr. Lowry and his wife are involved in their children’s activities at Pantego Christian Academy and youth sports leagues in Mansfield. They enjoy the outdoors, traveling and fly fishing.
Dr. Lowry and his accomplished team are eager to serve you in Arlington, Mansfield, or Midlothian.
