Angie Foster

Flour Power Kids Cooking Studio

By Meredith Knight

After more than 15 years as a stay-at-home mom, Angie Foster was ready to reenter the workforce. When she heard about the Flour Power Kids Cooking Studio franchise, she realized it combined two of her passions, working with kids and cooking. “I grew up cooking with my grandmother, so the kitchen always held positive memories for me,” Angie said. “I really wanted to work with kids and was thrilled to find such a fun opportunity—one that helps kids learn math and science, improves their reading skills, and builds self-confidence.”

Angie is also blessed to include three of her four children in her endeavor. “My youngest is almost 10. She loves coming to work with me and taking classes,” Angie said. “And my two older daughters work with me.”

The Flour Power studio décor is homey with the same appliances kids might have in their kitchens at home. “I want kids to feel comfortable using our appliances and confident in the new skills they’re taking home with them,” Angie added.

One real blessing for Angie has been offering free monthly classes to children and adults with special needs. She’s also booking birthday parties and family cooking events, Flour Power Kids Night Out and family Sip and Stir events, and hopes to offer corporate team building events.
