Dr. Christine Hopkins’ 10-year anniversary in private practice is cause for celebration. The mood is as joyful and upbeat as ever, but celebration isn’t new in Dr. Hopkins’ office.
For a decade, Dr. Hopkins and her team have celebrated their patients and cheered them on. They’ve shared hugs and tears of joy with patients when they saw their breathtaking new smiles for the first time. They’ve watched patients go from poor oral health, which can be linked to conditions such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease, to having healthy teeth and gums. And they’ve watched patients with missing teeth or subpar dentures that affected their ability to chew properly and feel comfortable, reap the myriad benefits of dental implants.
Who knew there could be so much happiness at a dental office? Dr. Hopkins, her team, and her patients, that’s who!
Continuing Her Legacy of Excellence and Quality in Dentistry
Dr. Hopkins, a leader in the dental community, has seen a lot of changes in dentistry over the last 10 years. Materials, technology, and techniques have evolved, and Dr. Hopkins stays on top of the latest advances. She carefully evaluates and then selects what she believes is the best-of-the-best for her practice and her patients. Dedicated to the pursuit of lifelong learning, Dr. Hopkins often attends national dental specialty conferences covering a wide range of dental topics.
“Advances in the field of dentistry come at a rapid-fire pace. Staying abreast of the latest research, tools, and treatment methods is crucial,” Dr. Hopkins says. “There’s something new all the time. To give the best care to my patients requires dental technology that makes treatment more efficient and more comfortable than ever before.”
How dental services are delivered to the public has also changed significantly over the last decade. Big corporate clinics are becoming increasingly commonplace. You see dental chains offering everything from general and cosmetic dentistry to orthodontics and dental implants. At the same time, sole practitioners, such as Dr. Hopkins, appeal to patients who want to experience a different dynamic in a dental office. Dr. Hopkins sets her own pace and doesn’t have to meet imposed corporate benchmarks. This gives her the freedom to offer truly personalized dental care. She can spend more time with her patients and educate them, and directly control the quality of care she provides. For example, she doesn’t have to overbook appointments, then keep patients waiting a long time to be seen.
“So many of our patients have been coming to us for years. They are truly like friends and family to us, as we are to them, and we’re honored when they refer people to us,” says Dr. Hopkins. “Sometimes a patient will try something different—there’s lots of competition in dentistry in the area—but we see them returning because they like us the best.”
Dr. Hopkins is successful in a competitive environment for many reasons. The comprehensive and high quality of dentistry she provides as a specialist is second-to-none, and she is passionate about personalized patient care. “We go above and beyond in customer service, focus on individualized care, and strive to make each dental experience with us as pleasant as possible.”
“My experience has always been excellent since I began using Dr. Hopkins several years ago. Her staff, as well, has been second-to-none in ensuring my experience is a pleasurable one. Dr. Hopkins and her staff’s attention to detail and the esprit de corps of the office enhances the professionalism of her practice.” –S.S.
Dentistry as an Art Form
From a tooth-colored filling or single crown to a comprehensive smile makeover, Dr. Hopkins combines medical science, knowledge, and art. A specialist in the field of dentistry, she completed three years of postgraduate work in prosthodontics after earning a D.D.S. Her extensive training in cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, and advanced prosthodontics (crowns, bridges, and dentures) gives her a unique set of skills and expertise. This, along with her innate sense of aesthetics and attention to detail makes her a sought-after expert.
“Dentistry is my canvas,” says Dr. Hopkins, who is recognized for her amazing smile makeovers. “I start by creating a comprehensive blueprint for the design, which leads to the best outcome. I consider the aesthetics of a smile as well as how the jaw and muscles function and come together. My goal is to create attractive, natural-looking, long-lasting, highly functional smiles that enable patients to bite and chew with comfort and smile with confidence.”
