The Joint Chiropracitc
The Joint Chiropractic is a corporate wellness organization with individualized community practices that has an ever-growing popularity due to their convenience and excellent reputation. Gayland and Stacey Lee own six locations of The Joint with plans to open several more soon. The Lees talked about their love for The Joint and why they are passionate about the company’s mission.
“We love seeing patients get better and have a passion for wellness and care,” said Stacey. “We’re hands-on operators and we want to be involved in everything. so we think about these things when we build our teams. We’re always looking for doctors who are patient care focused and passionate.”
These goals led them to the excellent clinical directors and teams at their Cypress, Cy-Fair, and Copperfield locations.
BRYNNE GINGRAS, DC – CYPRESS
Dr. Brynne Gingras came to The Joint in 2017 after working in chiropractic care previously. She graduated from Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She was inspired to pursue chiropractic after a snowboarding injury in her teens introduced her to the wonders it can achieve. Interested in equine veterinary care as well, Dr. Gingras learned that chiropractic offers the best of both worlds.
“I was drawn to healing without drug therapy or surgery,” said Dr. Gingras. “I’ve found that with chiropractic care you often get to see ‘miracles’ happen, because both humans and animals can improve and heal with it.”
Dr. Gingras said that the convenience of The Joint is a major draw for all patients, but what keeps them coming around are the incredible results.
“The Joint allows people to receive care on a consistent basis at a very affordable price,” said Dr. Gingras. “People start because of pain but they learn how chiropractic care can help support you through life’s daily wear and tear, which helps keep your spine and nervous system healthy on a long term basis.”
Dr. Gingras expressed the gratification of seeing a patient’s health improve, solidifying why she loves her job.
“The patients are the most rewarding part,” said Dr. Gingras. “Helping people who have tried all other avenues and are at a loss for what to do next, then watching their quality of life improve as their body starts to function better is rewarding. All of our doctors truly want to help people feel and function better, and the best days are when we are able to help people in this way.”
RENEE JOHNS, DC – CY-FAIR
Dr. Renee Johns came to The Joint a year and half ago, bringing with her a passion for health and patients. Dr. Johns talked about what led her to chiropractic care.
“The body is amazing and so versatile!” said Dr. Johns. “The way it functions and heals is so interesting. I was a personal trainer before I started my chiropractic journey. I knew I wanted to help people in a different way other than just exercise. It is a natural way for the body to heal and function at its optimum ability.”
After earning a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from the University of Louisiana, Dr. Johns graduated from the Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena. She talked about the convenience and accessibility that the rhythm of The Joint allows patients.
“If they wake up in pain in the morning and want to get seen right away, they can,” said Dr. Johns. “If you are travelling, all of your notes are there. It is extremely convenient.”
Dr. Johns discussed the common goal all healthcare providers at The Joint have. She explained that this is why she is passionate about what she does.
“Helping people decrease their pain is extremely rewarding,” said Dr. Johns. “I have had some patients cry after their first adjustment because they were so excited to no longer in pain. That is why I do what I do.“
JASON BASILE, DC – COPPERFIELD
Dr. Jason Basile has been working with The Joint for four years but has been working in chiropractic for much longer. His interest in the field was sparked after he injured his back playing football in high school. Dr. Basile talked about how chiropractic care was the first thing that gave him the relief he was searching for.
“I initially went the regular route of medicine with pain killers and anti-inflammatory drugs, but I was still in pain weeks later,” said Dr. Basile. “My father had been seeing a chiropractor and he suggested I come in. He had me back, participating, after three visits.”
Dr. Basile initially studied other fields of healthcare but after working in therapy, felt limited in how much he could do for his patients. He then decided to study chiropractic so he could become more involved in the healing process. He holds a Bachelor of Science in exercise science from the University of Delaware and went to chiropractic school at Life University in Marietta, Georgia. Dr. Basile came onboard with The Joint after running his own chiropractic practice for fifteen years. He talked about what sets The Joint apart from other clinics.
“The Joint really focuses on the fundamentals of chiropractic,” said Dr. Basile. “It is about the adjustment for wellness, not just for pain. It stripsaway the biggest impediments to the patient because it is affordable, fast, and effective.”
Dr. Basile discussed the joys of getting to see his patients improve.
“Whether it’s a patient in acute pain or an elite athlete who achieves news goals, there is no better reward than being able to participate in their process.” Said Dr. Basile. “Recently I had a young woman come in who was completely antalgic from lower back pain. Three treatments later she was standing upright, back at work, and I think I was more excited than she was!”
