With over 16 years in practice, Dr. Michelle Forbes still loves coming to work each day. She and Dr. Ralph Fitzgerald deliver comprehensive pediatric care in a friendly, patient-centered environment. Using a cohesive team-treatment approach, MD Pediatrics focuses on forming a partnership between the physician, parent, and the patient.
“Our wonderful support staff and nurse practitioners help us carry out that vision,” Dr. Forbes said. Nurse practitioner Kim Mowery added, “I love being able to build relationships with patients and their families as I listen to their concerns, educate them, encourage them, and help them navigate normal growth and development as well as illness. It is so rewarding to watch kids with their parents as they grow and thrive.”
Physician assistant Sarah Null, the newest provider to join the team, appreciates the focus on comprehensive care that MD Pediatrics adopts for its patients. “I really believe in looking at the “whole patient and family” and considering alternative treatments that may be most effective. It’s great to be part of a team that supports that approach and gives me the freedom to support my patients and their families.”
MD Pediatrics is honored to be a patient centered medical home for your child. This comprehensive approaches to your child’s care makes MD Pediatrics your family’s partner in caring for your child’s medical and non-medical needs. They empower parents and their children to take care of health issues and focus on prevention of future medical problems. Care includes regular well-child visits and evaluation of your child’s vision, blood pressure, and other indicators to mitigate future issues. They ensure children are current on vaccinations to prevent dangerous illnesses, including annual flu vaccines.
The team has a “You betcha!” attitude when patients or team members have requests. That simple phrase is always the answer when it comes to serving patients’ needs. “We have a caring team of healthcare professionals who each have their individual personalities, strengths and interests,” Mowery said. The team is always upbeat, and never tires of striving to make each patients’ visit a positive experience. Since parents are busy these days, MD Pediatrics uses a patient portal so parents can easily access their children’s records and email the office directly. Guaranteed same-day appointments and extended hours are offered for their convenience. With offices in Flower Mound and Coppell, the practice has six physicians, three nurse practitioners, physicians Assistant and a board-certified lactation consultant on staff.
