Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute
BRYAN S. ARMIJO, MD
“Plastic surgery is a great way to not only change your appearance, but also boost your self-confidence and help you look as young as you feel,” shared board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Bryan Armijo. “Whether you want to sculpt a facial feature or enhance your breasts, smooth wrinkles or tighten loose skin, remove excess fat or correct a problem area, the wide array of procedures available today can help you achieve the appearance you desire.”
Fully trained in both general and plastic surgery, Dr. Armijo is highly skilled in the most up-to-date cosmetic surgery techniques through his training and association with one of the nation’s renowned cosmetic surgery practices in the area, the Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute. Dr. Armijo distinguishes himself by providing state-of-the-art approaches to plastic and reconstructive surgery with minimally invasive procedures utilizing the latest technologies. This, combined with his compassionate and caring reputation in patient care, have earned him recognition in the Dallas and surrounding communities.
Dr. Armijo’s professional accomplishments include significant experience in cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery, including breast, extremity, body contouring, and microsurgery. He also specializes in nonsurgical facial rejuvenation techniques, such as Botox, dermal fillers, chemical peels, and microneedling. “I am one of a handful of surgeons in the area who is trained to use the FDA-approved SkinPen to safely and effectively treat facial acne scars,” he explained. SkinPen is a nonsurgical technique that creates controlled ‘micro-injuries’ to stimulate the body’s natural wound-healing process. “The result is effective restoring of scar tissue, while keeping the overall structure of the skin intact. With as few as three noninvasive treatments spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart, you can improve your appearance significantly. And right now is the ideal time to have this procedure, because the winter weather is favorable for optimal healing.”
Dr. Armijo trained in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, where innovative research and primary care techniques have been developed for over five decades. Following graduation, he continued his training with an internship in general surgery at the university, and a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Armijo then went on to complete a highly competitive fellowship and served as an assistant instructor in aesthetic surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
In the community, Dr. Armijo actively supports numerous events that directly affect breast health and cancer recovery. Inside the practice, he is known for his careful attention to detail and his kind, caring bedside manner. He takes the time to educate his patients about their surgical options and ensures that all their questions and concerns are addressed before, during, and after surgery. “My staff and I place great value in the medical team-patient relationship, and we offer the support needed to make our patients’ surgical experience exceptional. We are here to help you achieve your desired goals from the minute you walk in until your healing is complete.”
